Squeak behind stove

While driving we have developed a very annoying squeak that seems to come from behind the stove top. Can’t tell if it’s the corian on wood or the pieces of wood glued together next to the inside slide wall. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.

Which stovetop do you have? Older inset model with Corian covers or newer glass topped one?

There are endless possibilities.

I suggest to remove all your drawers and butcher block.  Then tighten every screw that holds every drawer track, both on the drawer and inside the cabinet.  Remove all Corian covers and stove top grates & top and tighten-down the stove better.  With everything still removed, have your spouse drive the rig while you listen.  If the noise persists, you can rule our everything that could be made tighter.  Hopefully you will find the source with everything removed.

With everything removed, it's a very good time to vacuum the inside of the cabinet.  There was a lot of construction debris inside ours.

I addressed rattles in 3 different areas with our galley base cabinet
1) added thin rubber pads on the stove cover edges where they contact each other to make a tighter fit
2) place a silicone pot holder on each stove grate just prior to placing the stove covers to eliminate grate-rattle
3) place thick felt pad strips in strategic places on each metal arm that holds up the swing-up counter extension

As the years have passed owning our PC, we got our rig quite well at being rattle free.  There were so many different places of irritating rattles and squeaks that I hunted down.  What remains today is general thrashing when driving over bumps.  Even so, we were able to reduce much of that with soft cabinet liners, paper towels between pots, and the use of small baskets.  A little of what I mentioned can be reviewed HERE.

We had a really annoying squeak in the kitchen.  The last time we were in Elkhart I described it to Doug and he said it was likely the microwave rubbing on the bedroom wall.  He said he would take care of it.  No more squeak.  I think he pushed something up between the microwave and the wall but no idea what.
