Shower Head Replacement on 2018 2910D?
« on: September 19, 2018, 07:04:50 am »
First, let me admit I haven't unscrewed or removed anything just yet - don't want to have "removal remorse".  Anyway, on our '18 2910D, the shower wand and hot/cold valving assembly is all one piece.  How can the shower head/wand be replaced?

Haven’t seen an ‘18, but typically the flexible hose part unscrews at both ends by gently turning the end fittings counter-clockwise, no tools required.

Unless your shower is completely different than mine, just unscrew the hose at the faucet and replace with a new model.

I installed an Oxygenics one that we are very happy with.

Looking pretty stupid here and apologize for potentially wasting your time - I'll take another look, but it surely looked like the entire assembly was one piece.  Will report back ... most likely with egg on my face.

No worries.  And you might have something entirely different.

I actually remember staring at mine thinking "how the heck does that come apart?".  It was so simple I kept thinking I missed something.

Assuming you have hot and cold faucet knobs on the wall of the shower then all you need do is unscrew the hose there.

We still have our original 11 year old PC-installed shower system.  I did replace the original stiff hose with a more flexible one (wish it was even more flexible) and replaced the "O" rings in the shower head on/off button (resolving water dripping), lubed it, and it continues to serve us well.

Just wanted to throw this out there and not start a new thread.  After the recommendation of some friends, I recently bought an Oxygenics shower head.  The OEM shower head would not produce a sufficient spray without running the onboard water pump.  The installation was easy....unscrew old and screw on the Oxygenics.  Adjectives such as, wonderful, fabulous, excellent, great, etc. describe the device.  I was actually shocked at the difference it made and HIGHLY recommend it.  The only regret I have is...I was in a hurry to get it and had to buy it at Camping World, a place I swore I would never spend another dime.

Cheers  :)(:

Ditto on the Oxygenics shower head. Mrs V got one, and I have never been so impressed by a lowflow shower head. Somehow rinses better with less water, and feels like a fuller stream while using. The flow must be lower, as the stock head had the pump running full time. With this one, it pulses. We call it purring... sounds like a VERY happy kitty purring at 110%. Purr...purr...purr...piurr.  :lol

For those who have replaced their shower head with the Oxygenics, does it help with the water pressure? In our 2018 3100, the water pressure coming out is a bit disappointing. The water seems to drop out of the shower head, rather than come out with decent pressure (making it difficult when washing my hair).

We would like to go with the Oxygenics, if it improves the pressure (with the understanding that it's still a low flow).

We feel the Oxygenics RV Shower Head made a noticeable difference in the water pressure. In our opinion it's well worth the price.

Oxygenics is FAR superior to the factory shower head.  That is the first thing I changed in my PC.

My wife had the same problem with washing her hair and not having enough pressure to rinse the shampoo out.   The Oxygenics *solved* that, and we both love it.

I put the Oxygenics push button valve on the faucet end of the hose instead of on the shower head. In the 2350 that makes it easier to reach in to set the water temperature , and to leave it set for the next user. This also  allows the Oxygenics shower head to fit securely in the original wall holder bracket instead  of having to install the new Oxygenics  bracket.

Thank you for your responses to our question on the Oxygenics shower head.  We have one ordered.
