Thanks JTrax.
I've been using the same two products for conditioning and lubing that I names in my posted for five years and no ill effects to date.  Probably just the opposite....slide runs very smooth and no water leaks. Guess I will just keep doing what I have been doing since it seems to be working.
PS--you were missed at the reunion. Hope you can make the LONG trek across the country next year.

Missed you all as well.  Really, really wanted to go but that work thing keeps getting in the road :).  September is very hard time for me to take any time off.  We got to go to the Sisters rally because it was literally in my back yard.

Next year would be really nice but the travel time out / back is a killer for us.

We have the older scissor type slide. Our rig is in for service right now and we asked that they lube our slide. Doug mentioned it should be lubed every month when you do the step. He recommends PB Blaster. That would be for the metal. I didn't ask about the gaskets.

Best thing for rubber, gaskets, tires, vinyl, etc. is 303 aerospace protectant. Keeps everything soft & pliable. Never use Armorall, exact opposite effect.
