Wow!  The new 2351D in finished form looks great!

This is the unit that I saw in construction when I was at the factory August 9 and 10.  They said they were getting it ready for the Hershey show.  Just had the cut-out for the bedroom slide then--it was hard to visualize what that slide-out queen bed was going to look like--but I really like the finished result.  This is the new Silver Mist interior too.

At the time, the engineer said he didn't think they were going to be able to put any type of awning on this unit.  He had cut the bedroom slide-out extra high for maximum overhead clearance in the bed, so there wouldn't be enough room over the slide for an awning--and he thought there might not be enough length left for even a short one beside the slide.  I'm glad that they found the way to add one.

Phoenix has high hopes for this new model.  They said then they thought it might eventually be the second most popular model in the lineup after the 2552.

Whoever picked those interior colors, in MY opinion, has something scrambled.   Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.

Don/Patti,

I personally prefer a more traditional look as well (my unit on order will have a toast/hickory combo).  However, there have been quite a few "You Tube" comments on some of Earl's videos demonstrating the 2017 and 2018 models complaining about how "dated" and "old fashioned" Phoenix's units looked.  Integration of the "European Look" in many of the newer "B" and "B+" manufactured units is said to have strong appeal to a new generation of RVers.

In looking at the new Transit 2100 interior and exterior, and the "Silver Mist" color scheme, I suspect that Phoenix is trying to provide some options that will place them in the running with buyers that may be more oriented to that genre.

Those interior colors don't do it for me either. I went back and forth thinking it was a used unit and someone had painted over the wood then realized it was a new style. When I read an earlier post that they were going to European style cabinets I thought it meant no front frame which gives more space.

As long as they still offer the wood, I'm good. I like the stainless sink and the faucet offset and the bigger kitchen window (though I'd lose my convenient Ikea hanging bar on the back wall). Not sure about the back splash but it's all personal preference. I'm sure that bedroom slide will cause much agonizing for future buyers: big awning but crawling in and out of a corner bed OR little awning with nice walk around bed. I recommend Phoenix add a pic pretty much straight on from the side as the angled pic makes the awning look miniscule.

John,  again--just based on my one conversation with the engineer in August, they expected to modify future builds of this model to allow a full awning even with the slide.  This unit, being the very first build of the 2351D, was something as a prototype and they would adjust some of the features on future builds as they got more experience with the design.  Another thing he mentioned was hoping to allow a more full "walk-around" of the queen bed, rather than the abbreviated path they had on this unit.  Don't know how much of that will pan out, but those were some of the thoughts anyway.

We have rented 5-6 25'-28' class C's in the last 4 years.  3 of them had side slide out beds in back.  It appears, at least from the pictures, that
this engineer has done what very few have done for a slide out rear bed in a 25' coach.  I am assuming from memory that the 2351 is 25', as the new
specs on web site show a 2552 instead of a 2351??   Our main objections to the ones we rented were:

0" to 8" walk around between walls and bed.                               2351 has at least 10" to 12" walk around space.

Bed is to high to get into with out stool.                                        2351 has a raised floor on both sides at least 7'' high to step into bed.

Poor ventilation in bed slide out.                                                  2351 has not one but three windows in slide.

No shelves to put cups, glasses, etc.                                           2351 has two 4'' X 2' shelves on either side of bed.

Thin Mattress                                                                               2351 mattress appears to be quite thick.

I am impressed with this proto type project.

That 2351D sure looks like a lot of RV in a small length.  "Kudos" to Phoenix for the new floor plan.  I hope it is a big seller for them.

Like a few other people here mentioned, we too are not fond of painted wood cabinetry.

I personally appreciate a light-colored stain.  Back in 2007, I wanted the light maple interior but Irene really wanted the dark cherry...... a minor concession made on my part.  It was the next year that Phoenix went with stainless hardware which was exceptional for the cherry interior.  I wanted to switch everything from bright brass to stainless but Irene didn't want to invest in it, so we remain with our original bright brass hardware.  Maybe one day I will get my way on that one.
