Nice Visit to Elkhart

Just got home from my second visit to HQ.  Wanted to go over my build sheet and lay an eyeball on the actual unit.  It was in paint, but Barry took me over to have a look (pic attached).

I did learn that some new models may be in the offering.  I will be vague because I don't want to produce any fake news  .  There is discussion of new models on the Transit platform.  Also, if I understood correctly, Chevy is going to produce a new cutaway chassis in both diesel and gas, which has caught the interest of Phoenix USA.  Again, this is not fake news, but it may be old news to some of you.

Regarding some previous comments, I saw no lack of activity. 

After this second visit, I am even more convinced that we have made a good decision buying this motorhome.

If PC could replicate the WBGO Fuse 23A or 23T using a 178" wheelbase I think it would be a winner.   Coach House (which I think more resembles PC's designs) is coming out with the Platinum III, a Transit based model in Sept.  The only drawback the four manf that utilize the Transit are having, is the GVRW of 10,360 pounds.  Some of the models have an OCC of less than 900 pounds.

The writings on the wall concerning the venerable Ford E- series. If GM is working on a new Express Van that's a well guarded secret.

A stretched Transit B+ sounds GVWR challenged for sure. A  short wheelbase Transit B+ seems redundant since Phoenix already makes  2350 and 2400 Sprinters.
Something like a Winnebago Paseo with a better floorplan would be cool though. Maybe a  rear bath model similar to  the Travato 59K, and a front bath model with a retractable bed and mini toy hauler bike garage like  the Revel.

GM is going to build a 3.0 inline 6 diesel in Detroit, not an import. It is suppose to go in the 2019 Silverado pick up, and I hope, the new Chevy cut a way.Don't let the size fool you. it will be capable of handling a class c motor home. A 2100 or 2350 PC getting 20 mpg would be great, I don't have details, and maybe that's not the engine thely'll use, but it's very possible.
