We just returned from a trip to Boston and on the way back to Pensacola stayed in Greenwood VA at Misty Mountain Camp Resort. It is a very nice RV camp! We had planned just an overnight but stayed an extra day to recover from driving through PA in the flooding rain but I digress. Misty Mountain has two levels, one group of sites on the top of the hill, and another group lower down by a nice flowing stream. Pull-thru sites and back-in's; most with full hookups. The camp store is very well stocked including RV supplies and wine/beer (hmm, aren't those the same thing?) Club room for group rentals, game room, pool, corn hole pit, basketball court, open play field, and a huge inflated trampoline. The lower level bath house was clean and air conditioned and included a laundry. The upper level bath house was a bit older and not air conditioned. Trash is collected all day long. They also offer local winery/brewery tours, plus have canoes and kayaks for trips on nearby Beaver Creek. The online reservations work well and they honor Good Sam discounts.
http://www.mistymountaincampresort.com/Virginia is a beautiful state with good roads. We will definitely be returning to explore!
