I can't tell you where I read it but someone mentioned a place that will replace the swirls slightly larger than the old ones to cover the ghosting.  As I recall the price was reasonable.  Google is your friend.

ZOLMAN, I also used the Meguiar’s oxidation remover. So I know how much work that is. I managed to get some shine back in the gelcoat but there’s still some yellowing.  When the weather cools down I plan to do it again.  I would love to see some photos of the finished product.
