Our New 3100, and it fits!

We picked up our new 3100 on June 11, and we are happy to say that it fits in our storage building with plenty of room to spare! Since we downsized from a Class A diesel pusher, we really didn't have any doubts. 

Our entire experience of touring the factory and asking questions, ordering the coach, visiting several times during the build process, working with everyone at Phoenix USA, and picking it up, went very well. We had a reasonable number of customizations, all of which were done exactly as we wanted. We have NO regrets in our decision to downsize. The coach drives really nice, has plenty of space and looks beautiful.

The icing on the cake was during our 4 days at the Elkhart Campground after getting the coach, we were able to meet and and talk to two other PC couples, John and Carrie and John and Maria. Wonderful folks....so happy to be a part of the Phoenix family!

Nice meeting you at the factory and the campground.  We just got home a few hours ago.  12 days to get home and we had a great time.

It was great finally meeting both of you at Elkhart.  So far everything has been going well with the new PC.  We spent most of our time at Elkhart personalizing it with towel bars, etc. and testing out everything we could test.  We took turns driving it home and both were really happy with how it handles. 

Susie and I are glad you took it easy on your way home so you could enjoy some of the great things this country has to offer.  After seeing Carrie's post on FB of you working on your ground problem, I have added doing that little repair while the undercarriage is still clean and easy to find all the ground wire connections.  I was surprised to find a couple I hadn't thought about, particularly the ones for the tank monitors.

Have a great rest of the summer and we will be sure to let you know when we are heading toward your neck of the woods.

Now that we are home I plan on crawling under and checking all the wires and ground connections.  Probably something that should be done occasionally as part of regular maintenance.  I also noticed a few places underneath that do not seem to have any paint on them.  I will be looking into getting those painted or coated or something.

We had a great trip back, still too many miles per day but better than the trip east.  So many things to see that we marked down for 'someday'.

Nice looking rig, from your Boyne City” neighbor”. On a serious not regarding storage...we are currently looking to secure storage for our 2552, which is tight in the BC area probably due to the boat storage needs. So if you have considered renting out space, and logistically would make sense, we might be interested.

When we were constructing our storage building, we were approached by both family and friends regarding storing their RV's and "toys".  We decided that we didn't want the liability that comes with renting out space to others should they "claim" something happened to their stuff while in our building.  It turns out that whenever we have gotten rid of any of our toys or equipment that we keep in the building, we still find ways to fill it back up.  Not sure about the Boyne City area, but here in Otsego County, they rent out storage space in the large buildings at the fairgrounds.  That might be a possible solution for you.  (When we lived down State, we rented space from the local fairground and it was reasonable, $10 per foot for six months storage.)
