Got my 2400

We picked up our 2400 on Tuesday, stayed at Elkhart campground 2 nights. Had to replace microwave. A few rattles and all looks good. 1'st tank 9.5 mpg.

First question, it's suppose to get down to 20 degrees, I've emptied the holding tanks, I have the tank heaters and the macerator heater. Should I run the tank heaters even though they are empty in order to keep the macerator from freezing? What else could freeze? How about the water in take with the 4 way valve? Also the outside shower? Actually the water lines for both run on the inside. I will keep the inside of the coach warm.

I tend to overkill, but I would get a couple gallons of rv antifreeze and follow Earls video on winterizing.  I dont think the sanicon, outside shower or water selection valve would have much protection from inside heat.  Congrats on the new PC . 

When I was in Elkhart last week for deliver, it was cold at night. We just switched on the tank heaters and did fine.

macerator heater

This is the first I have heard of this.  Is this an extra option?  Where is it located?

The macerator heater was an option, 100 dollars I believe.

Thanks!  Must be new on the 2018s, I'm sure it was never mention when we ordered.  I surely would have added it.

There's a heat pad on the bottom of the macearator box. I"ve turned on my tank heaters and I can feel the  bottom of the macearator box warming up.
