Mods to our '04 2350 - Bathroom

The bathroom was missing towel hangers, TP dispenser and a place for a tissue box; we added them.

Any thoughts on how to best use that space in the recess of the shower wall just below the toilet paper holder you added?  A magazine rack would seem logical to me, but I've not been able to find anything pre-made that would fit.  Do you have any recommendations on how a shelf board might be attached across that opening?  I assume there are plumbing pipes in that rise above the floor.  I like the other things you have done to your 2350.  Have you added any more since your last post?

NICE! work BillRo.  I especially like your shelf under the medicine cabinet.  I would consider adding a lip, a railing, or something to keep things there from crashing down when in transit.

About the space Glenn inquired about.  We found a garbage can that fits snuggly between the shower wall and sink cabinet.  It stays put when in transit, yet easily removed to empty.  It does not get in the way either.  Our 2350 bathroom is a tight experience.  I am a bit concerned of mounting anything too high like the toilet paper roll.  Someone else had PC-USA extend the countertop across that area which surely looked fantastic.  Ultimately, a shallow cabinet & countertop there would be the best use of space, but I fear it would get in the way when dressing after a shower.

We found a really nice looking paper towel holder at Bed Bath and Beyond that we mounted under the wall mounted cabinet in our 2350. It is satin nickel and coordinates with the hardware in the bath. It was $12.99.

We just bought another, yesterday, and mounted it under the cabinet in our 2551. It is a very handy location to wipe up the sink after shaving etc.

We were afraid the paper towel holder mounted under the medicine cabinet would get in the way when washing up, so we mounted ours up high above the window as shown.  It does not get in the way when dressing up.  We do towel dry after showers in the shower stall.  If we towel dried in the open area, the paper towel holder might get in the way.

That is a great idea to put that little trash can there next to the vanity. It looks like the ones they have in motels! We thought about putting a lip on the shelf under the cabinet but I would have had to drop it down further and made it bigger for a Kleenex box; we unload it into the sink for travel. Carol wants me to add another shelf on top of the window valence with galley rail or a lip. She has lots of towels and uses clips with hooks to hang towels over the shower rail as well as the towel rack I built. She used to hang them on the shower curtain, but that cost me a new shower curtain!

We added a cabinet in the recessed wall next to the shower.  My DW uses it for her hair dryer, curling iron and larger things needed in the bathroom.  It does not interfere while dressing in the bathroom.  We made it out of the same material as the cabinets and we put a nickel drawer handle so the top can be removed to gain access.  It works great and holds alot of items.  I will post a picture in April when we return from Florida.

That sounds great.  I look forward to see the pictures and also how the top lifts, etc.  I wonder if I have seen your cabinet before, but it didn't sink in.
