AAA Dollar Rewards

I thought I would share this info with current AAA members so you can save some dollars off your membership dues.

I went to my local AAA office to pick up some travel books and learned of a new program called AAA dollars.  All AAA Members are already enrolled. You just have to create a login and password on AAA.com.  When you shop online at a partner store, like Walmart, Kohls, Camping World etc... (they have a list online) you earn AAA dollars that are used to take money off of your annual membership rate.  You don't actually receive cash money but the AAA dollars that you earn will be deducted off of your membership dues.  The only thing you have to do differently is access the partners site through AAA.com.

I tried it to see if there were any hidden cost, and the items I selected from different merchants were the same price if I went directly to the site or went through AAA.com.  Once you find the store that you want to order from at AAA.com it takes you to the stores site and you shop as usual.

Hopefully this will save some money for you.

Barbara and I get most of our towing and Tire problems covered by our insurance  coverage on our rig.
We don't use AAA for mapping and other things.

but just saying, our insurance company rider takes care of the major issues, for much less.

When you go to aaa.com, you are linked to your "home" agency/state.  I think this program must change depending on that (same as whether your rV can be covered etc.)  i am in PA.  I just checked and for me they call it WOWPoints.  You earn $1 for every $100 you spend and then can redeem them for money off a purchase you make from a merchant on the list.  BUT I would also have to register a credit card with them to be attached to all my shopping and rewards.

Not saying the chance for extra money anywhere isn't a good thing - but some deals are better than others and apparently set up more locally.  Appreciate the heads up.

And yes PA is a place where AAA does not have any arrangement to have roadside service for an RV added to your membership.  Not sure what they would do to help folks travelling thru who do have that option.    I am a 49 year member of AAA.  Like other items in life I do miss the old days with them and am near to dropping them since I can cover my RV AND car in other ways instead of needing different coverage for each.
