Our 10 year old PC is one of the earliest model years with the recessed stove and stow-away Corian covers. We really like it because we use the covers all the time to make a big counter top for doing dishes as shown. The rack is collapsible and stores with the dish tray in the rear dinette bench via the side door.
Since I have this picture up.......We never use the Corian sink cover. We used to bring it along but it served no practical use and just ended up being a nuisance. I later made a partial cover from a cutting board I bought from Bed Bath & Beyond. It was the biggest cutting board I could find. I cut it so we could run the water with the cover in place. My wife loves it. Being that the sink is square, the cutting board is not only reversible, but also fits in any orientation offering many configurations. My wife will cut meat on one side, veggies on the other, and have running water right where she needs it. The scraps get pushed over the edge and collect in the sink for clean-up later.
Now back to the stove.
The only issue with our stove is that my wife insists on using her large square frying pan which she will on occasion forget to use it exclusively on the larger grate. When using it on the smaller grate, it overhangs the controls and then the heat does damage as shown. Nothing else has ever been affected by the heat. Just the control knobs and decal.
I have recently replaced the knobs and decal as shown. Cost was negligible buying new replacements parts on Ebay. We will see how long the stove stays nice.
