Has anyone had expierence with ordering coach seat covers from companies like Precision Fit.com or Shear Comfort.com? When viewing their selections it's difficult to match the type as found in our 2011 3100 F450, are the seat described as buckets?, additionally I don't see any reference to the arm rest on these sites. Was hoping to get around the failed Euro leather with covers rather than a total replacement.  Any suggestiinsight would be appreaciated.

We took our seats and sofa at different times to local upholstery. One was part time who had worked in the RV industry, the other had done auto, marine and rv upholstery for most of his life.  The seats look great.  The total cost was under $900.  That is a lot, but also a lot less than replacing the 2 cab seats and a sofa. By doing them in stages, we spread the cost over a year and made sure to match the vinyl or pleather.  We were also afraid to order any seating without "sitting" on it first.  This worked out great for us.

Thanks for the input BuffaloRose. I've solicited a few upholstery quotes and was hoping to save by using covers. However,  a high quality cover can run several hundred, not knowing if the fit will meet my expectations I could be spending money I regret, that certainly could be used for upholstery.  Tough call, I'll have to decide one of these days. Thanks again.

More than likely, your seats are not the factory seats, but are custom seats installed by Phoenix.   My first call would be to phoenix to find out if they are custom seats and if so, my next call would be to whomever manufactured your seats.

It seems to me that it would be unlikely that "standard seat covers" for a Ford F450 would fit.

From the beginning of Phoenix's existence, the Ford and Sprinter chassis are delivered to Phoenix without front seats.  They come with a cheap disposable cafeteria chair, a driver seat for lot-driving only, part of the "RV" chassis package.

As far as I know, Phoenix has always gotten their seats from Pauls Seating.  If your PC seats are worn or damaged, you should be able to order new seat skins direct from Pauls.  The question doing so with the vinyl is the matter of the vinyl material breaking down as a few 2010-2012 PC owners are experiencing.  I would think it is safe to get cloth from Pauls.  Then you would have brand new looking original seats.

While we were in Elkhart we saw quite a few of these "cut-away" chassis being driven around.  Not just at Phoenix.

They are really strange looking the first time you see a guy driving around sitting on a yellow plastic seat.

The F-53 chassis is even funnier, no windshield or cab, just the engine and steering wheel and a plastic seat.  Everything else gets added on as part of the RV.
