Roadside Assistance/Warranty plans.
OK! Who uses what? Good Sam, AAA, Coach Net, what? Why did you choose the one you have and what do you feel are the benefits you use most. Extra frills, maps, camping discounts, etc.
I remember PC and Ford both offer one but for the life of me I can't remember the names.
Jack is what we call our PC 2351D, and he has taken us from campers to RV'ers and loving it. We're no longer Team Bob. Just Jack the RV!

We have Good Sam Roadside for towing but do not have Extended Warranty. For the rare times we need a paper map, we go to Barnes and Noble. We are also members of the Good Sam Club, but that's mainly for Camping World discounts.

We have AARP the Hartford for insurance that offers some motorhome assistance.  Chose AARP because it was the least expensive and they have been very good on customer service.  We also have a AAA membership that we have used on three occasions for tire assistance while traveling and for maps and tour books.  We use Good Sam and Passport America for camping discounts.  Passport America has saved us a small fortune when traveling.  One night at a passport park pays for a year membership.

We have the Good Sam's Roadside assistance and used it many time with our antique (1975) GMC.  Only had a glitch one time when somewhere in translation a request for 87 octane gas was translated into diesel .  Good Sam paid for the tow to the repair shop as well as for the repairs dropping and flushing the fuel tank. They to the rescue when the tread on toad's tires separated. You just have to have a great deal of patience dealing with them.

Good Morning.  Just to chime in on this topic.  We don't have a PC as yet but in our experience with Class A's we have had very good luck with Coach-Net for Towing and assistance.  Kinda pricey tho.   We used the extended warranty for the Radiator repair that was necessary on our 2005 Country Coach but only with a lot of pushing on our part.  Don't remember the company but got it thru Guaranty in Oregon.

We just added the RV package to our AAA since we were already AAA members for many, many years.  Will use that for this year and reevaluate after that.  I hear only good things about Coach Net.  Good Sam gets mixed reviews, most good, but some really bad.  Of course it depends on what your expectations are.  Some complainers were expecting Good Sam to tow their rig and fix it for nothing.  Which is not what the plan says.  So whoever you go with read the fine print so you know what to expect.

I was just reminded by Earl that the PC comes with the Ford 5 yr warranty, which includes roadside assistance. Has anyone ever used Ford and is a supplemental plan like GS or CoachNet really worth the bucks?
I know Ford has a good name, one of the reasons we're buying the PC, but can a local dealer really provide proper service to a large RV, say, with a flat and no spare, etc?
Jack is what we call our PC 2351D, and he has taken us from campers to RV'ers and loving it. We're no longer Team Bob. Just Jack the RV!

Beware of AAA RV Plus. AAA is great for cars BUT last I checked, they have regions and RVs might not be covered in some states, or recognized. Ask your agent.  Something about towing to nearest dealer may be an issue.  Can't remember details but we wound up with Good Sams and AAA for our cars, not AAA rv plus.  We have a choice if we get in trouble. Lol
