PC with TOAD or Others

From the forum many of you have TOAD (sorry if this is in reference to more than a car/SUV) and some have bicycles/scooter/motorcyles that you carry/trailer behind the PC.

While looking for lighter options for transportation with my PC and how to move that option, I wondered if a new/newer poll might be helpful.

We have both a TOAD and bicycles, however, our bike rack usually rides on the TOAD. We did get the larger hitch receiver installed on the Subaru and bought the matching bike rack (had the option for either size hitch) so we can move the bike rack to the Phoenix and leave the car. If you have a smaller hitch on your bike rack, it can still move to the Phoenix if you buy an adapter but I've read it rattles more. We use the "quiet hitch" type things on both the tow bar for the car and the bike rack. It seriously reduces the wobbling at the hitch receiver.

When we bring the tow & bikes together, our bikes go on the back of the tow vehicle.  It is nice to have it this way for us because most often we need to drive to a point for the day, then "bike" from there.

An unrealated comment.  Look closely at our setup in the picture below.  Note the tow bar is not horizontal.  This picture was taken before I fixed the tow-vehicle-bucking I discussed HERE.  If you have a comment or question on tow-vehicle-bucking, please do so in that discussion, not here so we don't veer off this subject matter.  It just seemed right to point it out since this is a good picture of the bad condition.

 (exactly) I'm getting ready for our first trip in the PC. Setting up to tow my lifted Wrangler.. I have towed the wrangler with other RV's we have had only it wasn't lifted as high or had the 35" tires. Going to have to use an inverted drop hitch.

Most trips we are tour'ers not destination'ers, but twice a year we do plop in a MO state park for 4 or so days and then we take our scooter on a rack. Comes in handy is we want to get a loaf of bread, etc from the store or go to a different fishing hole. Go up to the lodge for the next day fishing tags, etc.
One vote for a scooter on a rack.

Like Garmp's Bob, I put a carrier on the hitch for a small motorcycle. The Yamaha TW200 weighs 280#, carries two, low seat height, and street/trail capable. I put additional turn/brake light strips on the carrier as the funky wide tires of the T-dub blocked the coach signals. We say we have a Gecko instead of a toad.
