Are there any other 4X4 Cruiser owners on here?

Just wondering how many other 4X4 PC's are around?  I am considering changing up our tires to something more aggressive and suited to the beach driving we do.

We own a model 2400 4x4 and cannot imagine driving it on any of the beaches we know. We have found the 4x4 very useful in snowy conditions and on gravel roads marginalized  by rain, but it is not in our opinion suited for off road use. That being said, with enough money for suspension and tire modifications, we are confident you can adapt a 12,000 lb vehicle to travel safely in the sand.

I drive on the sand frequently.  I have a full airbag suspension now, but am just looking for better on/off road suited tires.

Here we are at the shore

SweetWaterSurprise,
I noticed your front-end shield sticking up from the front of your hood.  Would you offer your thoughts on whether it has been a satisfactory addition and do you have any other paint/window protection that you would recommend.
Thanks,
John

Yes the deflector has worked out well.  Almost the entire RV had 3M ClearBra from the beltline down, including fender flares.  That also has helped protect the paint.

For a 2009 the exterior looks great.  What has been your secret.

I believe the clear film Diamond Shield has come standard on every PC for a while now.  Maybe Phoenix changed suppliers, but the product is functionally the same.

I really don't see the need for a leading edge plastic hood protector when the clear film does the job well.  I would shy away from the black protector if drilling into the frame of the hood is required like was done on my wife's Liberty.  I think the installation did more harm than the protector does good as rust is now forming around the drilled holes.

Our 2007 E350 chassis has a fiberglass hood so no worries about rust with our PC hood, but I think the 2008-2016 hood is steel.  Am I right?
