Any downside to a color?

This is my 3rd attempt to reply so if it ends up being a repeat I apologize and will erase duplicates when I come back.
Tried to attach a photo, but it wouldn't work.  Photos of my exterior are somewhere in the photos thread (2450 non-slide).
I have a Sterling exterior (not on your list).  Simplified, but still full-body paint job.  Only one wave along the bottom and no swirlies.  Phoenix was so accommodating that they didn't even put their name on it.  I love the lighter grays in this color scheme as they don't absorb the summer sun and they do a good job of wearing the road dirt.

Our 2100 was not a custom order but one the factory built for their inventory.   The exterior is Dusk, similar to Greystone, and does a good job of hiding  road dirt.

The only down side to a color, either inside or outside, is if you did not get the one your better half wanted.

I love the yester-year full body green exterior.  I think it was called sagemint as was the green interior, but I am not certain of it.  We would have ordered our rig in that color, but back in May/June of 2007, there were no reasonably decent pictures available.  When at the factory picking colors & options, we seen the lower body green color, a very dark green color which wasn't our thing.  That scared us from taking a chance selecting the full body green.

Since those days there have been some good quality pictures of the full body green PCs on the internet.  I kind-of kick myself for not taking the risk.  That full body green was "So" us and was right with our interior.

To play it safe, we went with our second choice color seen here, the Morning Mist Gray.  We do like it, but not as much as that green.

Ron

Hey, I found some pics of that green color.

We just ordered last week and did Toast for the ultra leather and carpet and Desert Sand for the corian and valances.  It really is great that PC is so willing to work with customers on customization.

It is truly a personal choice. All of the color schemes have some light areas and that is where the dirt shows. We are very happy with our full-body Sunlit which might be similar to toast. There is a nice contrast in the colors and we get a lot of compliments. Most of our camping is under trees so we don't worry about solar heat gain. In cold weather we do try to get an open site to catch as much sun as possible. The roof on all of them is white and the awning keeps one side of the rig cool so color doesn't matter there in hot weather. If our plan was to live in full sun in deserts and on beaches, we would have considered all white. Most people buy the motor home to experience different areas so color shouldn't be a consideration there.

And Tom, John picked our color. He was not sure about my gypsy life plan and for one of the few times in my life, I was smart enough to shut up and go with it. I was thinking the slightly darker Cafe but am totally happy with Sunlit.

I'm pretty sure the colors are still paired - the two browns use the same colors just different placement so you are basically choosing Brown/Beige or Black/Gray. Then the choice is lighter or darker.

If you make it to the factory or a show, they have actual samples to see and touch as well as units to check out and see how it all comes together.

Holly, that is funny. We debated between the cafe and the sunlite but went with the darker color. I sure wished we had picked the lighter color last July while parked in the campground on the beach in full southern sun.  :-[

Carol, that sounds exactly like want we want. We haven't ordered yet as we want to see one up close and personal, but think we're close. Just have a few storage questions. But your color scheme sounds great.

thanks
