;)  Well we are about to close out another great Phoenix Rally here in Nashville. Folks are beginning to pack up. Plans for next years Rally in the Washington DC area have started.
We had a few days of rain and few days of great weather,
The General Jackson showboat was great. I'll post pictures later. Got to pack up and hit the road back home.
Next year we go to Cherry Hill in Maryland    :-D  :-D Thinks About Coming  2o2  2o2

Excellent! We are so bummed we had to miss this year. Washington DC is in our neck of the woods. I was asked last year to work on some additional day trip ideas and entry route layover sites so I better get on that. Once I get a list I'll set up a separate DC Area topic so everyone can see it and add ideas. I've never been to Cherry Hill but have heard it is very nice. The bus line runs right to the campground and takes you to the Metro so you don't need to worry about driving in DC. You DO NOT want to drive in DC.

I expect the planned day trip will go into DC but there is so much to see you could easily go every day. The Smithsonian Museums are all free as are all the monuments. I think the shuttle from the air and space museum downtown to the huge museum out near Dulles airport is also free. The National Zoo is free but parking there is high. You can reach it by Metro and walking a few blocks or transfer to a bus. The new baby panda will be out and about by then.

Cherry Hill Campground is centrally located so it is a quick hop into DC, a short drive up to Baltimore and a bit longer drive to the Chesapeake Bay. There is a ton of stuff to see and do as well as hang out with awesome people. I can hardly wait!
