Leak in bath area

We have been the road for 2.5 months and little things are beginning to take a toll on the PC.

Two  days ago we noted that the bath rug that is in front of the sink and WC was damp. As best as we can tell it is just water, not the alternative. I have a call into Kermit to ask about this same problem, but he was out.

The water seems to coincide with our connecting of a city water supply to our PC. For most of our travels, we typically use what is in the tanks and refill as necessary. I am wonder if the higher pressure from being connected to a city system, rather than just using water in out tanks, is causing a small leak, There is minimal water on the floor under the sink and nothing is dripping from the faucet or  trap. The most water appears on the floor near the back wall to the right of the WC, and next to the sink cabinet.

The only other change that has occurred in the last two days is travel on long up and down grades in the area of southern Utah. Las Vegas and San Bernandino. Don't see how that could be a problem as our water and waste tanks were less than 1/3 full.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

We have had the problem also and found that the water was coming from the stool, we found that if we drained out all the water before heading out we didn't have and water problems. As you said you were going up and down hills in Utah. Hope this will help.

I find that water pressure can vary wildly a various campgrounds... up to 90-100 psi!

If there is any weakness in your system this will reveal it.

If the campsite water connection does not have a pressure reducer, it is a good idea to check the pressure. If it is 50-60 psi or more, it is advisable to put on your own pressure reducer.

I've always used a pressure regulator and external filter upstream of the city water connection and recommend it for everyone.

We had water in the same area of our 2010 2551 on a trip where we were using the shower a lot, we were not in campgrounds with showers.  I determined the water was getting behind the shower handle assembly and down the wall to the floor, it then traveled behind the sink and toilet.  I sealed the shower handle assembly and the leak stopped and has not appeared again.

If you have been using the shower a lot on this trip, this may be the source of your leak.  If so, I can provide more details.

I know you ruled this out, but it is easy enough to make sure.

The hot and cold water connections to the bath faucet (and kitchen faucet too) are hand tightened.  Just reach up and make sure they are still tight.  They have wings on the plastic nuts to offer a good grip for hand tightening.  It takes only seconds to do.

With Kermit's help got the leak fixed. The leak came from the ball valve on the toilet. the valve was cracked and when you flushed some water leaked out.

This must be a common problem with the Tetford? toilet as the valve was on the store rack (not in parts room). Took about 20 minutes to remove toilet, the valve and replace the two hoses.

Glad you got it resolved without much hassle or cost.  Something for the rest of us to keep in-mind if we consistently find water on the floor around the area of the toilet.
