Sway Bars

  I have a 2015 2910D with three slides. What is the best sway bars for the rear and the front? Had alignment all is good with that It helped with the steering some.  THANKS  JAS

I cant say what might be best but I can tell you what I'm going to install on my 2552. I looked at the  Hellwig and the roadmaster. The hellwig is much less expensive to purchase. From all the reading I've done everyone seems happy with the Hellwig  and I read things like if I was to do it over again Id stay wit the Hellwig. That being said I've also noticed that many will defend their purchase even if they feel they may have not made the best choice. (Just an observation) 

All said and done I'm going with Roadmaster. I'm basing it on the equipment  itself and how its connected to the frame. I'm also going to install the reflex steering stabilizer. I'm not going to install a trac bar at this time. <y toad only weighs 1800 lbs. so Ill wait to see if its something I really need.  Of course there are other options. I'm just giving which route I'm taking.

If installing both a heavy duty rear stabilizer bar and a rear trac bar yourself, you might run into a mounting issue.

The shop that installed our rear Roadmaster bar and rear Henderson trac bar back in 2007 on our 2007 E350, had a unique challenge, I recall it was something involving "shared mounting points".  My point here is that you might run into a situation where the stock hardware may not work as designed.  Plan for some time on the phone with one or the other companies on how to address it.

Again, that was 8 years ago on our 2007 E350.  Maybe the chassis today, or the parts designed for them are different.  I share this not to discourage getting both, but rather to prepare you for a potential hick-up.

I would have to agree with Ron D. 100%, installing the trac bar is not just a "hick up" but a major pain.  I attempted to install a Blue Ox bar on my 2012 and ultimately gave up and sent it back.  There is a major wire harness exactly where the unit was to fit on the frame rail with no play what's so ever, there is some antilock brake valves there as well that just made securing the rather heavy hardware impossible for me.  Having a lift (I do not have one of course) would make the process easier I am sure.  IMO installing a trac bar is in no way a DIY project period.  Best of luck.

Thanks to all..  I ordered the Roadmaster RM1139-147 for the rear and RM1139-176 for the front from ETRAILER today. Will be drop shipped from the factory.
At ETRAILER the sales rep asked for my vin. number on the E450. He called Roadmaster factory to get the right sway bars. Very good people to work with.

Just installed front and rear sway bars from Roadmaster. Front went real good The rear a little tight setting on the floor. Both 1/2 holes hard to drill with the wheels on the MC.
On the front the small bolts that hold the brackets was striped from the factory.  Had to drill and tap to 1/2 inch. Glad i was doing this at my shop.The large ones had blue locktight hard to come off. But still not bad install. jas
