To owners of 2400
« on: March 15, 2015, 08:47:27 am »
We're considering the 2400 but with different layout upfront.  Would help to know a couple dimensions.  Would someone measure length from the refrigerator cabinet forward along the floor to the cab entrance, i.e. the point where the floor drops, also on opposite side from forward side of wardrobe to cab entrance.  Thank you.

We have a 2012 2400 and would be happy to provide the requested measurements. Right now it is dark and cold and snowing so it will be a few hours. My only caution would be that when we were researching PC's we looked at a 2010 model 2400 the finishes and therefore the dimensions were somewhat different than the unit we had built. It might be worthwhile to call Earl or someone at the plant to get the measurements on the current build platform and see what they can suggest to meet your specific needs.

90 inches on the passenger side from the refrigerator wall to the passenger side drop off. 84 inches on the drivers side from the wardrobe wall to the driver side drop off. Our unit has the slide on the drivers side that has the queen size couch/bed and the wardrobe.measurements made with shaking hands; it is still cold and snowing, but it is light.

Would the fact that you're is a four wheel drive make a difference? My logic says no but it has been wrong before (don't tell John I admitted to that).

Thank you bhgareau.  Now I can do a little planning and maybe seem halfway intelligent talking to factory.

2400 dimensions
« Reply #5 on: January 06, 2017, 07:28:41 am »
Does anyone out there have the dimensions of the 2400 interior. Specifically, we are trying to design the 2400 but Earl has stated a couple of times he does not know what we need them for.

Why the dimensions are not on PC website or in schematics is unusual. So here goes:

width of 2400 with the slide from passenger wall to driver side wall. An additional measurement would be how much distance from the passenger wall to the wardrobe closet. Thinking about using larger sofa bed on passenger side per one of the videos of "old".

Next, the useable length of passenger wall to the curve behind the driver seat- both along the wall and then the measurement as wall juts into the coach.

Thank you in advance if you have these. I do promise after delivery of new coach, I will publish a drawing showing all dimensions which an interested party would want to see.

Will take measurements , but need more detail.... Slide in or slide out?  Passenger side measurements to rear entry door or to refrigerator wall. Wardrobe with slide in or out?

When I needed measurements I printed off the model diagram from the website and used an engineers ruler to scale from a known dimension.  Things such as the bed or refrigerator have known dimensions.

Of course if someone will measure for you that will be more accurate.  :-D

Are you asking about a Ford E-350 chassis or a Sprinter chassis?  (WH)

They are NOT to scale but if any part of the drawing has a known dimension you can scale the rest from that.  I did that for the 2552, and it came out very close.  Close enough for laying things out anyway.
