F-550

I posted a few weeks ago on the subject of PC offering a F-550 chassis and did not get much response.   With all the discussion of weights coming up recently I do not know why the 550 is not looked at as and option? I realize the engineering costs , etc...are significant but   the F-550 sure makes some sense to me as it would offer significant more load capacity, more comfortable cab area, diesel option, and a better ride.  I did very briefly speak with Kermit about this subject and he said he was sticking with the E-450.  Thanks

I have heard thru the "grapevine" (very good source) that Born Free will be complimenting their Majestic/Imperial line up with a 33' coach built on the Dodge 5500 with the Cummins engine, that will give the consumer a choice between the F-550 or the Dodge, both exceptional chassis's.  The only issue is $$$, the upcharge for the diesel Ford and diesel gen set will set you back $18,000!.  Would love to see PC offer a 3100 on a Dodge 5500 chassis.
