Does PC-USA Offer A Memory Foam Mattress For Their Permanent Beds?

Does PC-USA Offer A Memory Foam Mattress For Their Permanent Beds?

Just wondering if anyone here has memory foam mattresses on their permanent beds for models 2350, 2450, 2551, 2552, 2700, 2910s, 3100?

If you do, how do you like sleeping on it?
How thick is it?

I am wondering if it would be an improvement over our standard 2350 foam mattress.
Is such a mattress even available.
At what cost.

Hi Ron,

We bought the Serta 2" memory foam topper in king size and cut it to fit the twin mattresses in our 2551.  It really does the job for us, very comfortable without sinking in, I can actually fall asleep on my back.  Liked it so much that we also have it on our bed at home.

My 2552 came with what they called memory form. My DW likes hers but I wanted just a little thicker, so I tried a 2" memory form topper. I did not care for it, so I got a standard form $29 egg topper and I like it.

Do any of the folks that you showed your PC to live close to you and can you go see their beds?

Thanks for your comments.

We had a foam topper on our regular foam mattress but got swallowed up by all the fluff.  It seems I would like a more dense mattress than what we have now.  Our dinette has memory foam cushions of which I laid on it and it seemed real good.  But I assumed a memory foam mattress would be thicker than our memory foam bench seat.  How thick is the memory foam mattress?

Unfortunately I don't know anyone close by to see what they have and how they like it.

Ron, our beds have labels that read passengers side 32x73, drivers side 32x67. Both measure 6 inches high. Those measurements are not quite what Phoenix says the beds are. They are two inches narrower and one inch shorter.

Ron,
     Don't have a foam mattress but we have a Mattress Company here in Peoria, IL that will custom buit a mattress to any size and hardness you would want, have used them at home for over 40 years. We have them make new one for us the day we got our 3100 home. We have the twins beds and they ran about $450 each. It will take up to 1 month to have it made. Hope this will help. Bad thing is they weigh a ton, not really but they are heavy.

I am curious how thick the memory foam mattresses measures.  A newcomer not yet posting publically, emailed me directly and shared that the claim is 6" thick.  Does it actually measure 6" thick?  Or is it like a 2x4 that measures 1.5 x 3.5?  I wonder if it is as thin as our memory foam dinette bench seats.  I am concerned that might be too thin for a full-time mattress.

Tom, Did you use a ruler and measure an actual 6" thick?  Or is that what the spec says?

Ron, John and I have the newer mattresses like Tom has. We've slept on them every night for eight months so far and are quite comfortable with them.We weigh around 140 and 175 and sleep on our sides with no hip pain/pressure spots. I've always preferred a firmer mattress and John likes it a little softer but we are both happy with the one Phoenix uses now.

Thanks for sharing that Frazzled.

I think the next time we head in that direction with our rig, we will schedule a week day visit at the factory to try out a new mattress, prepared to buy one on the spot.  It is a solid 3 hour one-way trip for us so swinging over is a good day trip, and I have few good spare days in life.
