Things We Have Added to Our 2350 - Kitchen

We have made some additions to our 2008 Phoenix Cruiser 2350 to make travel a little easier and would like to share them with other PC owners.   Need to login to see the attached pictures.

Counter Extension

During manufacture we had Phoenix Cruiser fabricate and install a corian drop leaf rather than one of wood.  Works well and is not affected by water.

Slideout Pantry (Image Kitchen-2)

Replaced the existing drawers with a 3 shelf pullout pantry.  Provides a little more storage with a lot easier access.

Converted Wardrobe (Images Kitchen-3 & Kitchen-4)

Added two shelves to the shorter wardrobe to create additional kitchen storage.  Bottom shelf hold nested pots and pans with removable handles from Cuisinart

I like your Corian flip-up counter.  Ours is the usual dark cherry wood, but I do admit it's been holding up quite well considering it gets wet every time we do dishes.  Still I like the Corian as I think it would hold up better to a hot pot.

About the shirt closet shelves.  I too added but one mid-shelf.  I did mine myself using close-matching-cherry pre-finished shelves I bought at Home Depot, using small "L" brackets to mount.  Being we have so much cabinet storage over our no-slide-dinette for cookware & food, we use that shirt closet with shelf for bed/bath linen and miscellaneous.

Great ideas. I love the idea of the Corian instead of the wood for the pull up shelf.

Has anyone removed the cutting board? I think that is a waste of space but haven't done anything with that yet.

Your right ... the cutting board is a waste of space.  I never use mine because I have this thing about bacteria getting into the wood and then onto my food.  I like the thick plastic type cutting boards that I can put in the sink with hot soapy water to clean.  If anyone comes up with something to do with the space please share your idea.  I'm always looking for ways to have more useful storage.
I also agree that it would be nice to replace the cherry wood lift up shelf next to the sink with Corian.  I wonder if Phoenix would have a piece available to buy??

We use our pull-out cutting board as a suface for hot-pots.  Not as a cutting board.  We use a white plastic cutting board, we store on top of the wood cutting board.
