In the 6 years we've owned our 2350 with macerator, I've always dumped with the system as designed without using any extra hoses or tubes. But we don't put solids into the black tank. Just liquids. I dump the black first, then flood it with the gray water and keep going. I don't utilize the flushing feature. I figured it isn't as important without solids to consider. When back home, I do my tank sanitation process pouring in a little bleach and fill the tank to the tippy top, let sit a while, then drain, fill again, drain again. The tank level sensors seem to like it too.
Funny that every trip, we always have at least one moment when someone else dumping will walk over and ask about our system. There they are with gloves, sometimes wearing goggles, sometimes a mask, sometimes more.
I do it bare handed. My wife hands me a Clorox wipe when I'm finished. I do move the hose around as it expands to keep it on a clean surface.
