Great tips,,,, when I did my Alaska trip,,, I used google maps to do the route, you can put about 20 points of travel,,,, it also gives the mileage between points,,, I then would user Rvpark reviews and Woodalls, Goodsams,,, since I'm a member of goodsams I try to stay at their parks most times,,,,, once I get the points I'm traveling I may readjust based upon available RV spots....one thing I love about google maps you can change very easily,.... I changed the points on my Alaska trip numerous times, depending upon distance and places to stay... we do not dry camp too often but do not mind intermingling in day or two of dry then back to a park with hook-ups this was a 5 week trip with over 30 different stops so I did a whole bunch of planning, I put together a notebook with our itinerary for each day, had a page for each spot, things to see and do,, campgrounds, always had 1/2 back-ups other than first choice.
I just posted our Alaska trip and a trip we made to Zion and Grand Canyon. I spend a lot of time planning most of my trips,,, right now I'm putting one I call my Civil War trip,,,, I want to go look at a bunch of the parks and memorials of the Civil War,,,, going from Houston to Maryland,,,, still in the planning stages, probably will spend about 3 weeks on this trip... I will do an itinerary on it and post it once it is ready. Probably do that next fall,,,, this fall can not make my mind up yet,,, we may go back to grand canyon
