Need a quick meal with little clean up? Try chicken slop. It was one of our go-to hot meals for backpacking. You need a gallon size ZipLock bag (yes, brand makes a difference - the seams have to hold in boiling water). Open 1 bag of Stove top stuffing and dump it in the ZipLock. Toss in one chicken bouillon cube if desired. Open one can of chicken and dump it in liquid and all. Pour in boiling water - amount called for on stuffing package. Now zip the bag and gently squish until mixed. The stuffing will absorb the water. You can eat it right out of the bag with a spoon then zip and toss the baggie. You are left with one or two dirty spoons. (John and I used to share this on the trail -I always called dibs on snuggling and mixing the hot bag on cold winter hikes.)
