PC 2950 Likes and Dislikes ???
« on: December 02, 2012, 09:57:29 am »
My wife and I are looking to purchase a B+ motorhome and stumbled upon the Phoenix Cruiser Line and located a 2950 while still considering a Travel Trailer.  Well we have moved on to only considering a Class B+. Test drove the 2950 and like the size and accommodations.  We would like to get some feedback from current or past PC 2950 owners about this model.  The twin bed option seems to fit us as it gives floor space and the ease of either of us getting in and out of bed without bothering the other.   tymote

We had PC build a custom 2910 and picked it up in June. It has the front living area of the 2910 and the rear has twin beds like the 2950. We have posted some pictures of our new coach.

We love the twin beds and the living area with the slide and two Euro chairs. I believe that floorplan is on the newer models.

Don't like the toilet area. I find it cramped but I guess how often and how long are you in there. I also would rather have a full wardrobe like we had in our 2551. Actually, we wanted the living area of the 2910 and the rear of the 2551 with the twin beds and toilet/shower in the back but it could not be built that way so we settled on the "custom" 2910. We don't regret it.

Thanks for the response, I guess some of the information I am looking for is how does the length effect the maneuverability, driving, and overall livability .  Those with 2910s and 3100s should have similar handling and livability qualities.  For those who have stepped up  from a 2551 / 2552 how do you feel about the differences.

Our 2910 has a much improved ride over our 2551 without
a slide. We found the 2551 had a very hard ride. We were able to lower the tire pressure for a little softer ride. The turning radius for 2910 is quit a bit larger than the 2551. The 2551 was a 2011. The 2910 is a 2013. Both PC's handled well. We would get some wind pushing as higher trucks go by nothing extreme.

Loadsleasttraveled:

I moved up from the 2551S to a 3100 and must say the ride and handling was much improved with the longer wheelbase.  It is not that the 2551 did not handle well it just rode a little on the hard side.  The 3100 tracks much better and a softer ride, I did upgrade both units with new shocks, stabilizer bars and steering dampeners.  You do pay when it comes to the turning radius on the 3100 but the 2551 was not exactly a winner in this catagory either!  Regardless, PC make a very nice coach and Kermit F., Stuart, Amanda and the support staff are super to deal with.  best of luck with your purchase!   Thanks
