We are only 90 miles south of Quartsite with our 2551 PC.  We steer clear of there in January.  AND when we were driving down 32nd street there was a pretty PC on the for sale lot of RV Peddler.  Were in a hurry and didn't stop to see what model.  Outside of that we have never seen another PC ourselves.

Hey, bobander.  We probably just missed each other.  We went through Quartzsite Jan 16 on our way to Cambria, CA, and back through Quartzsite Jan 26 on our way to Mesa, AZ.  You're right about all the activity in Quartzsite.  Seems like every inch of the BLM land around there has a rv on it.  Too many people and traffic for us to stop for the rv show - maybe next year...  We did see another pc stopped on a turnoff by the Joshua Tree NP turnoff, and another around San Luis Obispo.

Glad to hear that there are other PCs here in the southwest, I will keep watching out for a sighting.  We are now in the Tucson area for two weeks staying at Catalina State Park, no PC s here yet.

Bob

I SAW ONE!!!!

3 1/2 weeks in Arizona and finally saw another PC.

Got a quick look at it leaving the campground yesterday, I think it was a 2350 on a Sprinter chassis.  Sorry I didn't see it in time to meet the owner, they must have been in another campground loop for only one night I think.

Still have 3 weeks to go here in Arizona and will keep looking.

We SAW one.

Except for planned sightings (George and Judi, Syd and Margo) we finally saw another PC.  We were traveling south on US 1 at mm 80 and a PC was traveling north.  First one in 6 weeks.

Barry-Sue; That might have been us... we were coming back from Key West on our way to Naples for the night.  We were in our new 2910 towing a white/black Jeep Wrangler.

We found TWO. We pulled into a campsite near Staunton VA and there was a Phoenix right up front. We did our walk about and found the owner - none other than FrecklesTweety and friend on their way to the Good Sam rally. She rolled south this morning and we headed out to tour the area. As we headed back to camp we saw another Phoenix heading north on 81. We are pretty sure it wasn't FrecklesTweety as there was no road and it was going the wrong way to be her though it was similar in color. So hi to whomever you are.

No wonder we can't find them, all the PCs are hiding in the woods.

Great pictures. :)(:

The Brochure for Phoenix Cruiser states "Adventure Anywhere".  My wife said that this not what they meant.

At the start of my little trip it seemed crazy to do it, as I went along the road did improve some. We started in Copake, NY, Taconic State Forest, into Mass. Mt Washington State Forest, and finished in Conn., in the Mt Riga State Forest.  Along the way there were great water falls.  (balloons)

For the Columbus Day W/E the traffic was rather light.    :-D

Bill, you drove the wrong way. We are in gorgeous woods with fall colors but the road is PAVED. We are seeing maybe 1 or 2 cars per mile. Since all the facilities are closed, people are avoiding the Blue Ridge Parkway but, as you said, the PC has a bathroom... and fridge and power and all the comforts of home so we don't care. I hope you find your way safely out of the woods and your dear wife is still speaking to you when you get there.

We LOVE the New River Gorge and have actually done the high-line off of the bridge on bridge day (harness up, walk out under the bridge on the catwalk, clip on, climb out on the girders, and DROP OFF - it was awesome). If you can stay until October 19th, it is Bridge Day. They close the bridge and the base jumpers jump off the bridge; Rapellers are climbing and rapelling below it; Rafters and kayakers can run the river then stop just before the bridge and watch the jumpers. They have vendors and local merchants set up booths. It's a heck of a party! The next day is usually the final dam release for the Gauley so even more fun. Even if you can't stay until the 19th, try the bridge walk where you they take you out on the catwalk (you just don't jump off). If you do it, tell Benji that Holly and John say hello and we plan to get back up that way eventually. Benji runs the bridge walk and is the one that put us down that high line... as well as off the cliffs at the top of the gorge... and rafting the New and Gauley rivers... and then we brought out the Jack Daniels to celebrate the end of the season - YEE HA! We really need to get back there. We hope you have an absolutely wonderful time there.

Oops, forgot the links: http://www.bridgewalk.com/   and  http://www.officialbridgeday.com/new-river-gorge. NOTE - you cannot jump off the bridge. Only experienced base jumpers can. They have to apply and be approved. Base jumpers are parachutists that jump off of Bridges, Antennas, Skyscrapers, and Earth (cliffs). You jump off a fixed object and use a parachute to break your fall. Bridge day is the ONLY day they can legally jump off the New River Gorge Bridge.
