Looks like I will have to figure out when to go in Feb.

Our goal, in season, is to go somewhere in the PC once a month. In Dec. we are going to Ortona South COE, Jan is Franklin Locks COE and the Tampa RV Show. I guess Feb will be Silver River.

Another great Florida State Park is Koreshan Historic Site in Estero.  It is right off of 41 with alot to do in the area.  There is the Koreshan settlement that you can tour, it is right on the river with canioe rentals and it is in the midst of city life but very secluded and quiet.  The Coconut Point shopping area is only a couple of miles away and that is like a city within a city.  Great night life to just stroll and window shop.  They have great sites, very private but close enough to meet many wonderful people.  And the beaches are only a few miles away as well. Of course it gets booked in the winter.  We will be spending the last two days of February there before we head to the beach for three weeks.

Sue

Did I mention we'll be leaving in 41 days!!!!

How about Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine ?

It is right on the ocean, it has really seculded oak covered streets and sites.  I love oak lined streets in the camping area so I am in my glory there.  I think they have kayak rentals. The light house is less  then a mile down the road and also there is downtown St. Augustine.

Yeah, we have thought of Koreshan SP--never been there either.

We do like Sebastian Inlet SP because of the beach. Never been to Anastasia.  It's sometimes hard for us to get reservations in season and then we have to time it when relatives are not here.

By the way, Sue, do you know that is only 40 days now?? But who is counting?

See you in Jan!!!!!

We found TWO! We are sadly coming to the end of our two week test camping in a rented RV in  Florida. We rolled into Payne' s Prairie on Monday and sitting there in the next campsite was a beautiful green 2006 2551 from Georgia. We chatted with the owner and he had all good things to say about his PC. He said he is an 80 year old RV'er that plans to keep cruising until he can' t do it anymore. So 15 minutes later as we did our required wander around the campground, in pulls a 10 year old 2350 from Michigan. Again, TOTALLY happy owners raving about their PC, all the great places they've gone and the great service they received on a recent problem with a baffle. They were singing praises to Kermit and Phoenix (and admitted they were working their way into buying a 2552 - I keep hearing it is dangerous to go back to the factory after you buy your PC - a newer model always wants to follow you home.) I've seen comments on this site and elsewhere saying some of the helpful folks on this forum are actually shills for Phoenix but the happy owners we've run into are just regular people out enjoying what they say is a quality made vehicle bought from a company with great customer service and they didn't even know about the forum. Well, our test camping has been great and we hope to change our profile soon to show we OWN a PC instead of just want one. Happy trails to all, Holly

Nice story Holly.  It is hard to explain to outsiders about owning a PC.  They think we are in kahoots with the company, or on drugs or something.  Thanks for sharing.  Well wishes in getting the "right" PC the first time.  We are still on #1 now year #6.

Ron,
I totally agree with your comments. When we were at the Tampa Show (in a Nexus), I was raving about PC's to a couple looking to downsize. I really think they thought I was nuts!

We have been so pleased with the units that we have had and the response from the folks at the factory, when we need something, that I will reccomend the PC to anyone who will listen.

And we are not shills for the factory--as Holly said, just normal people who happen to be pleased with Phoenix Cruisers.

We're up to THREE! You all might think I'm pulling your leg at this point BUT as we were driving out for the day, yet another PC was pulling in. As soon as we got back to camp we did our walk-about and hunted it down. We've done two sloooowwww passes and are pretty sure no humans are around. We hope we'll get to meet the owners tomorrow. It is puzzling us as we can't figure out which model it is. I even took the PC "catalog" with us that I got at the Hershey show (along with a friendly couple we met that wanted to see what we were thinking of buying) but it doesn't seem to match any of the floor plans. If people WERE inside they are probably wondering why four people were standing in the road staring at their RV. John teased me that I looked like someone with a nature guide trying to identify an unknown bird. I figured it was time to mosey on before someone called the men in white coats. I like Payne's Prarie but am not sure why it is collecting so many Phoenix Cruisers. Whatever the reason, we are very pleased to meet these people and get their thoughts on the Phoenix. Once in a while, things just fall into place.

Got to meet the owner of the third PC we saw this week. Bonnie from Florida says to tell Kermit hi and that she has nothing but good things to say about the PC. She loves her green 2700. I think it is a 2006 which is why we couldn't match the model to the brochure. The newer ones have a wider front slide that includes the fridge. Bonnie's slide is smaller so it must have just the couch on the slide.

I started this thread last October after our 5 1/2 week trip from California to Kentucky and we saw only one other PC.

Now we are two weeks into a six week trip from the Northern California mountains to various places in Arizona, getting out of the snow and cold temps.  We spent a week near Quartzsite, AZ, there were RVs everywhere, all the RV parks were full, they were parked as far as I could see in the open desert, and there are always many to be seen while driving on the road.  There are so many, I fear that if they were all pointed in the same direction and hit the gas at the same time the Earth's rotation would be affected!

Anyway, I haven't seen another PC yet, I guess there are many more in the east than out here.  I see that there is a dealer now in Las Vegas, I may stop by on my way home and say hi and maybe see some new models.  Oh, wait, maybe I shouldn't do that, I see where others have ended up buying a new one that way.

Maybe those of us that have bought a second or third one think you should stop by the new dealer or just call Stuart, he will take care of you.

Ahhh, the Phoenix Cruiser addiction. Those that have it want more to join their ranks. Those irritating diamond commercials came on last night and I pointed out to John that he was lucky that I wasn't into diamonds. His reply was no, I just wanted a Phoenix Cruiser and it is more expensive than a diamond. My reply - but most women that want diamonds want more than one... (and you probably see it coming...) he said aaaand do you think you will only EVER want one Phoenix Cruiser.... silence on my end. I sure don't want to promise anything at this point. I guess I could promise only one at a time?

Hey, bobander.  We probably just missed each other.  We went through Quartzsite Jan 16 on our way to Cambria, CA, and back through Quartzsite Jan 26 on our way to Mesa, AZ.  You're right about all the activity in Quartzsite.  Seems like every inch of the BLM land around there has a rv on it.  Too many people and traffic for us to stop for the rv show - maybe next year...  We did see another pc stopped on a turnoff by the Joshua Tree NP turnoff, and another around San Luis Obispo.
