Steps won'stay out

Haha.....it posted before finishing the subject.   

I seem to recall a former discussion about the steps not staying out----- and the other switch next to that one not putting the
outside light on....the discussion was about a certain fuse.  ???   Thanks if anyone recalls.    

I am not used to dealing with fuses.

Does the step come out and then retracts or does it just not come out.

Same problem I have had.

You open the door, turn on switch near door and steps are supposed to stay out even when you close the door. But the steps go back in.

I found a loose wire near the big connector underneath near the steps where all the step wiring goes back to the rig.

Are they Kwikee steps?  On our Jayco, the step controller will cause the steps to retract no matter what the position of the switch is IF the ingition switch for the coach is turned on and the door closes. This prevents any possibility of driving off with the step out.
