(outside) water drain "faucet," etc.

Hi, guys!    Wondering if anyone has had this happen...and what you did...where you got another one, etc.

After draining the water....the top of little, white, plastic "faucet or spigot" on the outside of the rv broke off!
   Will need to get it replaced before draining the water next time.

 Another issue:  Could not get the key into the lock of the water potable input door (on same side of rv) after adding water.
Cannot lock it now.
Can the lock be replaced or must I get a new assembly?   

Checked the Camping World site and found the second item...not the little water drain faucet.  ???

Help!  (This is a 2010 rv. )

Call Carol at the factory, she has bunches of the little spigot. They stopped installing them because of the breaking problem. She is an early bird, so call her in the AM up until about 2:30pm.

The spigots are available at most RV parts stores.  Mine broke and I had my mechanic replace it.  They break because of exposure to the sun and oxidation.  I looked everywhere and talked to several shops and nobody apparently makes metal ones.  Looks like an opportunity for you entrepreneurs out there.

I think the turning portion just pops out the top.  Very easy to replace without messing with the rest of the fitting and all

It can as you say be removed, but in Tulsa, among 2-3 RV dealers I was never able to find a replacement part (taken from a new one) that didn't drip-to-outright leak.  Finally found one that with a few wraps of teflon tape worked okay.  At least it solved the problem.  Replacing the entire valve body was a pretty good project on an '07.
Hard to get to under the bed behind the tank, about 5-6 inches to work in.
