The coach door is an impressive design, particularly the clever upper hinge, however the window is not tinted like the rest of the coach.
Interesting.
Our 2007 PC-2350 coach has tempered glass thermal pane windows including the door window, all made by Hurd, all are darkened including the door window. I am quite impressed with how well they keep out the heat from direct sunlight, as well as heat in-general.
The same goes for the cold. Our old rig had dark plexi-glass single-pane windows. Coldness would radiate right through them, creating a down-draft right on our heads where we slept. They also sweated, soaking anything that touched them.
With our Hurd thermal PC windows, it's quite the Thermos bottle except up front from the cab area. We don't have a slide out which I think helps further. At night we'll draw that pleated privacy curtian which solves any draft from up front, which I am sure you all have discovered that too.
