Just measured our 2012 2551 and it measures 27 feet 2 inches.  That is without a ladder on back so it is to the end of the spare tire cover.  The ladder might extend it a little, not sure.

Our 2010 2551 measures the same, 27'-2" to the spare tire cover.  When we were shopping for an RV we took a tape measure with us because the motorhome had to fit in our RV garage.  We never found a motorhome that measured the same as described in their brochure, some manufactures were off by a couple of feet.  The PC length was not bad at 27'-2" compared to and advertised 26'-5", but you have to wonder how do they come up with these measurements and why not just put the actual measurement in the brochures.

     I think it might be like the measurement on 5th Wheels and TT, the length is the inside front front to back. My 5th Wheels showed 30 ft but was 32 Ft long out side.
