Side door hinge
« on: July 25, 2021, 11:18:06 pm »
Hi all, wondering if anyone has a photo (up close and detailed) of the coach door hinge from the outside?  I noticed on our trip last week that the hinge pin has a small amount of movement which allows the door to become sloppy so to speak.  I put a washer on the underside of the hinge and bolted it back up from the bottom with the single bolt. I am just curious what washers and spacers are supposed to be there.  I do know there are spacer washers for figment but just curious. I did clean and grease the hinge pin with waterproof grease.

Thanks all.  ;)

My door has also developed a little sag.  The paint has started to rub on the bottom jam, opposite of the hinge.  Tried to lift and insert split washer under hinge.  Worked for a few openings, but sone downward pressure kicked the split washer out.

Here is a close up of my hinge.  Sorry, it's from the inside but maybe it will help.

I added a washer.  Problem solved.
