2150 rpm seems to be the sweet spot for hyper-miling a V10 Ford.
What are the cruising rpm’s for a 6 speed E450 at 62 and 65mph?

Maybe wait to see how much better the new Godzilla 7.3  V8 in the 2021 E450 does.

It would be nice if Phoenix could entice Motorhome  Magazine to do a full review of a new TRX 3500 turbo diesel and put up some  mpg  numbers. Just sayin....
Thanks.......I think that would be great also.....I would consider the trx if the milege was around 14-15 mpg....even though the towing capacity would be less...

I'm afraid that our 2014 PC 2350 w/slide doesn't outperform the bigger 2552's - we average 9 mpg as well in our (2013) E450 chassis, no tow vehicle and well under OCCC....

thank you....I guess the number here is 9 mpg....good thing to consider ...especially if your going to use it alot......

I only consider real life mileage, not the one tank that was over the top or the one tank that was really the pits. On our last trip we covered 9,000 miles. Some days bucking winds head on some days with side winds but damn if there ever seemed to be a tail wind. Many days of back roads driving 55 mph and days of interstate at 70 as well. I figured our generator as using .6 gallons an hour. We towed a smart car 100 percent of the time. All in we averaged 9.2 mpg.  This is on a 2552 for what ever that is worth.

thx.....that helps alot.. :)

Hello everyone, I was wondering if you guys can give us your MPG on the Ford E450 on the smaller units like the 2100 or 2350....I know alot of factors go into it....but give us your average or give us you actual situations with road conditions and weight or even towing.....thank you for all your comments in advance

Thank you for all the great info......I was wondering if you could get LS on the 2100 model.....when I tried to price this unit the LS option is not available.....If not what are other options to get a smoother ride ....any after market springs or suspension.....I read the e-450 chasis is stiff and bumpy......thank you all...

Hello All,

I went to the Hershey show and saw the TRX model....I was impressed with the paint scheme and the over all look.....They said that the TRX will come on both the diesel and gas Transit platform....It is exactly the 2100 floor plan with variations of double sofa or power sofa bed and dinette. Apologies if pics are not clear
