Thanks Volkemon.  I am a member of the PC facebook page.  Just wondering if I need approval to post a PC for sale on the groups facebook page.

Sent a message to Phoenix USA RV Forum Team on January 27.  Have not received any response.  I would like to try and sell our RV here rather than trade in to a dealer.

General Discussion / Re: Winterizing holding tank sprayer lines
« on: March 01, 2019, 03:16:17 pm »
We have 2018 2552.  We have the four way toggle for fresh water fill, city water, tank water using the pump and winterize.  We also have the water connection in the macertor pump section on the rear driver's side.  There are two valves labeled grey tank flush and black tank flush.  I never winterized those two valves. I did not see anything in the PC info I received that showed a need to put antifreeze in there.  We drove down to Florida on January 27.  I tried flushing the two tanks. When I turned on the valve for the black and grey tank, as I did in the fall, each time there was some flushing sounds from each of the tanks.  But there was also spraying water the back side of the valves.  It looked like there may be a rupture either on the hoses connected to the tanks or something else. I have not been able to get under the coach to see what was leaking.  Too hot here.  Will check underneath when we return home in a couple of weeks.  I am concerned that something did rupture especially since we had some very  cold weather in NE Pa in December and January.  One  thing I know for sure is that typing a long paragraph using a "smart" phone is stupid.  Took me more than half an hour.

General Discussion / Re: Toggle Switch for Dash Radio
« on: March 01, 2019, 02:45:39 pm »
Could not respond earlier.  On vacation and have only a smart phone.  I have the toggle on the dashboard for the radio.  I also discovered that the engine battery is used whether you have the key in the ignition or the toggle pushed to the right.  Engine battery kept going dead.  The white "trickle charging" never worked on our RV.  One apparently was never installed. Contacted Barry at PC and he sent me a trickle charger which I installed following his directions.  No dead engine battery since then.  I did post info on this forum, I believe, last September with picture.  Please refer to that posting for additional info.

General Discussion / Re: E450 Battery Red Light On - No Start

We had a similar problem with the cab battery going dead.  Our RV would sit for a few weeks and the cab battery would go dead.  See links for additional info.  The second link is the info on the installtion of the Trik-L-Start unit.  It is behind the radiator resevoir.  For some reason, there was nothing there until I installed it.  I had contacted Barry at PC and he sent me the part.  Hope this info helps.

Mike, Pat, we have a 2018 2552 and there was nothing behind the antifreeze coolant reservoir.  I just installed it by removing the reservoir and connecting the Trik-L-Start unit as shown in the picture.  Not sure if it should have been included by PC when the RV was built.  Our engine battery was going dead within 3 weeks, when parked with shore power.  I had contacted PC and they sent me the Trik-L-Start unit, with directions, which I connected as shown in the picture.

We have been having the same issue with the battery going dead since we picked up the 2552.  Contacted PC and Barry sent us the Trik-L-Start unit.  Waiting for the weather to clear up before I install it.  Thanks for all the input on my question.  Attached is a picture of the Trik-L-Start installed.  Barry sent it to me after I asked him where it should be installed.
Forgot to mention, the picture is behind the coolant reservoir tank.  I just checked to see that the solenoid is back there.  Just as Zolman stated, you will need to remove the three screws from the coolant reservoir tank and move the tank in order to be able to get your hands in there.

Has anyone installed a Trik-L-Start to a 2552?  Is there a connection point in the engine compartment for the House Battery connection of the Trik-L-Start?
Thanks, John D.

Hi Barry-Sue,
Those recliners look beautiful!  Can I ask you what that cabinet behind the drivers seat is and did you custom make it for that spot?
Always looking for great ways to use space.

Thanks!

I checked the battery and the leads are on tight.  I did jump the battery and was able to start the engine yesterday.  Took the RV for an hour drive today.  Started up this morning with no issues.  I did turn the dome light switches off.  I will continue to check to see if the battery holds its charge.  I will update all if and when I can definitely identify the problem we had.  Thanks for all the input and insight.

Thanks for the info.  One other thing I did not mention.  I had shore power on during this time and the house batteries were left on.  Could that have drained the chassis battery by leaving the coach batteries on?

thanks,

General Discussion / Chassis battery dead
« on: July 04, 2018, 07:31:33 pm »
Picked up our new 2552 on May 23.  Drove back to Pa about 600 miles.  We took the RV out for a couple of short drives since we came home.  We have not started up the engine in probably two to three weeks.  We have been going in and out during this time with the step opening and closing each time.  Today we tried to get in and the step did not work.  We then realized that the chassis battery is dead.  The trickle switch is not helping so we know we need to use our jumper cables to start the RV up.  My question is could the battery have gone dead from using the step over the last two to three weeks each time we went in to the RV?   Any insight is appreciated.
thanks, John D
