Our front door strut seems to have failed on our 2018 2552. Anyone know where besides the factory I can order one? Part #?

Thanks, John

General Discussion / Re: new 3 way Anderson water valve
« on: September 11, 2020, 03:56:15 pm »
Put new valve in but now its filling the fresh water tank. I've spent days trying to adjust the valve setting. No Luck. So I guess I need a check valve. Does it go on the 3 way valve? And where can I get one?

Thanks, John

General Discussion / Re: Replacing Black Tank Valve
« on: December 12, 2019, 08:31:40 pm »
Ok got it done. Used scuba driver grease? Waterproof I guess. It was not easy but done. NO more Costco T-Paper. Sorry honey lol

I got the Barker Electric valve adjusted but the light stays on sometims even though the valve is fully closed. Going to try contact cleaner. If that doesn't work I have a new one.

Thanks for all the advice guys, John

General Discussion / Replacing Black Tank Valve
« on: December 12, 2019, 09:34:41 am »
Ok got the valve out. So how do I get the new one in? It's so tight it will not go in with the gaskets in place. Do I need to remove or loosen the tank side pipe to the tank? If so it looks like it has somekind of sealant under the clamp. Any help would be appreciated. I'm stuck and don't want to break anything.

General Discussion / Changing Black Tank Valve
« on: November 11, 2019, 06:04:48 pm »
Black tank valve is leaking. I've tried flushing several times. No luck. Moved valve manually by removing Barker elect opener. The valve is hard to move and the Barker is now popping opening and closing. Still works though.. So I'm going to replace both. Any advice on replacing the valve and electric opener. Yes I will dump the tank first lol

We broke the screen door latch on our 2018 2552. Does anyone know the Southco Latch (female side) part # for the screen door?. Phoenix seems to be to busy to return my calls.

Thanks, John

General Discussion / Adding a Third Solar Panel
« on: April 29, 2019, 11:15:57 am »
We have a 2018 2552 with 2 factory solar panels. I am considering adding a third solar panel to the roof. My question is where do the wires for the two panels connect?

Thanks John

General Discussion / Replacing 2552 Couch with recliner and desk
« on: February 10, 2019, 10:49:40 am »
Has anyone removed the factory couch and replaced it with something else like a recliner and desk? My concern is weight on the slide.  Considering doing it myself and having a desk/cabinet made by a local cabinet maker.

Thanks, John

General Discussion / Re: Battle Born Batteries
« on: December 21, 2018, 11:05:33 am »
No my batteries are fine. I am looking for more amp hours & faster recharge for boondocking. I am aware of the temp issues with Battle Born but we don't do camping in cold weather or try to avoid it LOL. To add more batteries seems to be a major project. Our factory installed solar system (2 160 panels) is less than stellar. The panels are shaded at times by the luggage bar thing and the fan cover (I remove it when boondocking). I wired the controller to accept a 100watt portable panel with pushes the amps up to recharge faster. To do it over again I would have a solar installer do the solar or do it myself. Heading to Quartzsite in January so I am going to put the system to the test.

Thanks for everyones input, John

General Discussion / Generator runs but no power
« on: July 15, 2018, 09:22:27 pm »
I went to exercise the genset in our 2018 2552 today. It fired right up but no electric power. I checked the inside breakers under the bed but no power. I couldn't find a breaker on the genset. Any suggests before I call Phoenix?

Thanks, John
