Thanks so much for the info…Ours is working fine for now but as we are worse case scenario folks we thought we would have a spare just in case as Keith said there is no way to retract bed manually.  Sure appreciate your thoughts on this matter. Keith gave us part number so we ordered on eBay.  FIY, part number is RV #801-001 / 420617 Atwood mobile CIM. $59.00 with tax and shipping.

Hello!
Have tried contacting Paul’s seating for a motor replacement for our 2100 with no success.  No one ever returns calls.  Doug is trying to hunt one up at the factory but with the move it may take some time.  Anyone have any ideas?

Okay, thanks to all for your response…we’ll go to our local tire dealer and have a though inspection performed… btw, guess Earl forgot to install 12 volt socket in our cabinet…oh well, they surely got everything else right as this unit after 30,000 miles+ is truly incredible! By far the best built RV we’ve ever owned and we’ve had Safari, Airstream , 2 Winnebago Views and others.

Of the two 12 volt sockets on the Ford E350 dash on our 2100, does anyone know if either is connected to house battery?  We currently have a small Engel cooler for frozen or refrigerated items while traveling and the 12 volt side is hardwired into our lithium batteries directly but thinking about adding a second cooler.  While dry camping, they only pull a couple of amps when running and we never have to think about outside ambient temps in desert.
On a different subject, we’re going to replace our 5-6 year old tires and would like you knowledgeable folks a real world opinion on what you’re currently riding on…thanks to all for responses.

General Discussion / Re: Xantrex 1800 watt Inverter

Thank you Lance and Dave…we .appreciate your knowledge.  To Lance….no jumping up and down on step….we’re not that agile anymore:)….to Dave, no plans to swap out inverter….we’re simple boondockers that don’t use a lot of electronics and the 1800 watt is more than adequate for our needs.

Just had a Progressive Dynamic 4655 installed that Battleborn specifically recommended for out PC 2100.  I have a question that you smart folks might help me with… at what point will my inverter voltage readout indicate a charge in the 14.3 to 14.5 range that Battleborn recommends to reveal balanced full charge?
How long might a charging cycle take to bring my batteries up to full charge using my 30 amp electrical cord on a pedestal?

On a whole different subject but not wanting to flood the forum with questions, has anyone bypassed the auto entry step to coach to a manual pullout one?  Just repairing our second stripped gear and don’t know why this is happening…..neither my wife or I are “big” people,…I’m 5’8” 148lbs and she is 5’6” 115 so….this is getting old!

Thanks to all of you in advanced

General Discussion / Parallax Charger Converter
« on: June 28, 2022, 10:10:18 am »
After much confusion, we discovered our Model year 2018 PC 2100 has the Parralyx single stage charger/converter but we can’t find the actual model # to correctly cross reference to the proper Progressive Dynamics replacement to adequately charge our battleborn batteries.
Researching the forum archives hasn’t helped us too much and Doug couldn’t be specific enough to assist.
At $200.00 an hour shop rate we want to make sure we get a correct drop in replacement so can anyone help us?
Our actual build was July to September 2017.
Model # doesn’t appear on the front panel
Thanks

General Discussion / Re: Fuel Prices
« on: March 16, 2022, 03:58:19 pm »
We’re used to paying high fuel prices in California so that in and of itself won’t deter us from RVing but it is getting harder to find unoccupied campsites throughout our “Golden State”’.
Fortunately, we have a plethora of boondocking sites most folks can’t get to so there’s that!

General Discussion / Re: 6 weeks into "two weeks to flatten curve"
« on: April 23, 2020, 04:41:57 pm »
6 weeks into our national "2 weeks to flatten the curve", I'm about to say to heck with it and hit the road.  This stupid thing already cost me an Alaska cruise.  Now it's cutting into my RV time!

WOW.  There are people that still want to go on cruises?!?!   :beg  We abandoned those floating petri dishes several years ago... and now?!? It would have to be a large payout to get me on one, much less PAY for one!!!  roflol

I do think of the full timers in RV's. Must be insane. We do send a prayer up for their relief. But for those people that rely on campgrounds, and there being a shortage of same at the moment, it seems very self centered to leave a good house 'just for cheap gas and to do something interesting' while knowing others may be left without a spot to park.
As 28 year Escapees, we hurt for those stuck on the road trying to find semi permanent parking.  We also understand those whose travel plans in their later years have been severely disrupted.
We don’t hear anyone addressing the obvious issue...why are masks not required to be worn by everyone?  If their only purpose according to the CDC and the Surgeon General of the United States is to prevent spread of the Covid 19, and other countries mandate this as actual law...what the heck is going on in this country?  We live just outside the Bay Area where five counties including San Mateo, Santa Clara and SanFrancisco have face mask mandates....yet most California counties don’t.
This whole scenario just doesn’t make sense...how serious is this problem if we’re not REQUIRED to wear masks when you leave your residence?
In addition, California Hospitals are laying off nurses and doctors and our Governor is sending ventilators and other nurses and doctors to New York to assist their medical professionals....all while we deal with this continued lockdown..hmmmm.

Two questions,
Could you give us the exact length of your unit, and what is your eating arrangement...we are considering ordering with the dinette.
You guys were sure lucky nobody grabbed your gorgeous rig!

Yea I feel lucky being able to grab it.  I’m not really sure why they had one in stock.  Measuring it with a tape measure it looks to be right at 26’ (+/- and inch or two).   With this unit we won’t be living in it more than 2-3 days at a time and at our age we’re into reclining...  For us it’s mostly a point to point vehicle to visit our 17 grandchildren spread around the country!  So we’ll just eat off our laps or at a picnic table.  I do think the Lagun tables could be a good option to get the best of both, unless playing cards or board games is a high priority. I’ll post a few photos shortly to give some other insights into this floor plan.
Good suggestion.  I’m considering the Lagun tables, just not sure if we even want them.   I’m in the mood to keep everything as simple as possible and I have a feeling even those would feel like they’re in the way at times.

Pictures are always great and thanks for the measurements!

Did you order the unit as a stock 25 foot or did you add the extension cabinets in the rear coach? Your unit sure looks nice!

GRANDPA17,
How does you Dbl slide unit drive on the e450 and did you upgrade any suspension components? Agree with your assessment of PC attention to detail and would add that their customer service is second to none!
