General Discussion / Re: Cell boosters
« on: May 20, 2018, 09:49:01 am »
I have a WeBoost 4G - X in a 2351.  The inside antenna is mounted just behind passenger seat (best reception within 3')  The outside antenna was installed by the rear ladder.  It usually boosts the signal about 2 bars.  The great thing about it is using a phone as a personal hot spot and placing it by the inside antenna.  This way our laptop and pads can be used inside and out.  Works great!

General Discussion / Re: Getting your new coach home
« on: November 30, 2017, 10:19:53 am »
Delivery for us worked great.  It cost $1800 and was actually less expensive for us then going to the factory and driving home. We had our PC delivered to Montana last Dec.17 by Kermit's son.  He also did a great job educating us about coach features.  Also the weather was horrible last year when delivered.

My only concern- the past owners were great fixing warranty issues immediately.
Now coming up on owning our PC for a year we have been trying for the last two months to get more issues fixed.

The new management has been horrible with their lack of communication and response!

General Discussion / Slide Awning Stretched
« on: June 15, 2017, 06:50:39 pm »
Beware leaving the slide- out in high winds. - awning is not covered under warranty.
My slide awning on a 2351 recently got stretched in high winds. With the slide out, the awning hangs loose (1" down) on one side and flaps in a mild breeze.  Does any one have suggestions how to make that side tighter?

Thanks Dave

General Discussion / Best tools for washing rig
« on: May 26, 2017, 08:13:57 am »
Greetings,
Just returned from an 7 week trip to the southwest.  I have 2351 with modified desert sand full body paint that hardly shows the dirt. Any recommendations for tools and soap to make the first washing easier?  Also do I need to wax yet?

Thanks,
Dave

We also bought a 2017 - 2351 4 X 4 and had many modifications done at he factory for minimal cost.  I second the suggestion that it would be cost effective and easier to have modifications done when built.
Everyone was great to work with but make sure you have any changes in writing and any parts you have to supply shipped to the factory in a timely manner.

Enjoy the process,
Dave

General Discussion / Re: On the verge- question on new stove
« on: April 19, 2017, 09:34:23 am »
We've had 3 campers and the new stove is the easiest to use yet.
Easy to clean (except around the knobs), easy to light, and very adjustable.
The only draw back would be if you wanted to use 2 big pans at the same time.
My wife is a gourmet cook and loves it.

General Discussion / Screen Door Latch
« on: February 08, 2017, 12:45:11 am »
The screen door latch on my new PC closes very tight and my wife and I can only open it with two hands.
We have already replaced one cracked latch.

Does it get easier to open over time?
Has anyone modified the handle to make easier to open one handed?

Thanks,
Dave

General Discussion / Re: Beware the Emergency Window
« on: January 27, 2017, 08:30:14 pm »
One additional note the upper glass window shattered and shards went everywhere - it did not act like safety glass at all.

Has anyone else experienced broken widows and had shards of glass everywhere?

General Discussion / Beware the Emergency Window
« on: January 27, 2017, 07:59:18 pm »
I sure messed up today.  I had read on the forum that if the emergency window was opened too far it would fall out.  So I set up a ladder on the outside and carefully opened the window (about 18") until the left corner slipped down a little.  I gently pushed it back up and carefully tried to close it and the long narrow window above it shattered.  I am very mechanically inclined and have never seen anything so fragile! Hopefully since it is a 3 glass unit I can replace only the fixed upper piece.
I know it is an emergency widow but it would sure be nice to have one that could open and close easily like in my other RV's without breaking.  I advise to never open more than 12 - 14".

I am really upset since it has been too cold to even take my first trip.

Bummed out in Montana.  javascript:void(0);

General Discussion / Re: Just Made My Deposit On a New 2910T!!!
« on: January 25, 2017, 10:25:52 pm »
Our 2017 PC was just delivered right before Christmas. Since we travel in remote places with no cell service Earl built it with the old style rear cap to accommodate a spare tire.  So I think you can still decide whether you want a spare or more storage.

General Discussion / Re: Insulated windows
« on: January 25, 2017, 10:08:05 pm »
We have had campers with and without insulated windows.  They do keep the interior cooler when it is hot and warmer when it is cool.  Also if the temperature goes below freezing overnight the windows do not fog up.  I personally would not buy a rv without them!

General Discussion / Re: Radio wiring and control
« on: January 11, 2017, 09:16:55 pm »
Howdy,
We installed an amplifier and separate speakers in the coach to run off the inverter.  It sounds way better than the cab radio.  Also eliminated the TV, and added a cell phone booster so we can stream internet to a phone, tablet or computer.  Pandora radio works great and there are many other radio options available.

Hi all,
Our new 2351 was delivered on Friday to Montana.
Thanks to all who helped answer questions we had about different options available.
Your valuable expertise helped us customize our new rig just the way we wanted it.
PC has exceeded our expectations.

Thanks again for all of the valuable information!

Happy Holidays,

General Discussion / Re: Barbecue hardpipe location
« on: November 24, 2016, 07:39:59 am »
Thanks all for your input,
When we ordered our PC we were told the gas line would be routed underneath the awning and were surprised that it was not
It turns out Phoenix did stop routing the barbecue gas line to the passenger side just in the last few months.
On the last camper we had for 8 years it worked really well for us to have a hard pipe. We grilled at least 3 times a week spring through fall and it was really handy not to deal with small tanks.
That being said I agree that there is no point in having to throw a gas line underneath the rig to cook and will have to go back to no hard hookup.  How long do the small tanks last?

When I switched out the fantastic fan for the maxxair 6200 fan on the unit I am having built it cost $95 dollars extra.
