General Discussion / Re: Batteries brands vs cost vs efficiency
« on: October 02, 2025, 11:59:14 am »
Ron.. Thank you, I’ll look them up. How long did you have them or are you still using them?

Looks like there’s not much savings over Trojan.  $426, less cycles and one year warranty.
Trojan looks like the best deal.  I sold my PC about 4 years ago.  Been looking for another for a while.

AGM is the best choice in my opinion.  You are also right in that Lithium upgrades are too costly for benefit you would get.

I bought Lifeline for my PC years ago.  I liked them.

The Lifeline Gel-4CT battery has an expected cycle life of over 1,000 cycles to 50% depth of discharge (DOD). It is also rated for about 550 cycles at 80% DOD. Lifeline does not recommend cycling the battery at 100% DOD to preserve its lifespan.

I see a Hoosier Cruiser is for sale on RV Trader.  Those are the same people that built most of the PCs prior 2019 or so.  They do not use the Swintek slide but the original PC slide.  They have ducted air and a number of small improvements that make things better.  Not sure how successful they are in selling units.  But it is another option.

In my opinion, PC still makes a quality unit.  They just priced themselves out of the market when they went from factory order to dealer network. They just restarted a prototype for a Super Class C.  So that model may not be available for a while.  It also seems like all RV sales have tanked.  Used RV prices are diving.  So the coming months may be buying opportunity for interested purchasers.

Thanks for sharing that video.  Tina said she would send me an updated “spec” sheet for the Super C.  Prototype is rear bath and Murphy bed.  Should be interesting.

Thanks Ron
After PC went from factory direct to dealer sales and basically doubled the price for the same unit I lost all interest in ordering new.

The PC web site has not been updated in years.  None of the new Transit layouts are on the site.  I am not sure how PC is selling units.  I suppose the dealers have the info.  But I like to see info online without the pressure.

Have a Great Day!

The PC Super C will be interesting to see for sure.  Recently I inquired about using a PC to stay at a resort near Hilton Head.  They only allow Class A, Class C & Super C.  I sent them a picture of a PC.  They said it was a B+ and not allowed into the resort.  I do not want a CLass A.  Most Class C’s are over loaded with multiple slides.  Super C could work as wiife wants over head bunk and I want better ride. But the deciding factor may be the price. I am also not to eager for a diesel engine.   Love the PC but the standard beds are too short.  I need one that is extended 6 inches.  I would also want liquid springs.  However, that PC is very hard to find as a reasonable price.  RV sellers seem to think their RVs should appreciate instead of depreciate.  Haha

Tina has informed me that PC will be building a Super C:

We are in the process of prototyping a Super C… it was under way last year, was put on hold, but is back on…. It is on the Ford F Series chassis. The first floorplan is a rear bath room , murphy bed floorplan.

So if anyone is interested contact Tina at: tina@phoenixusarv.com

General Discussion / Re: PC Factory Moved
« on: June 15, 2025, 08:31:31 pm »
In the June newsletter Tina explains why they moved:

The new facility will offer opportunities to expand our service center and offer service customers a more comfortable lobby to relax while they are visiting for service on their coach. With full gated parking, it will also allow us to provide greater security to service units that
are left with us for long-term renovations. Additionally, the production area features a layout that will be more efficient in supporting our current production needs.

Providing service to PC owners is really needed.  The factory is a trusted resource that owners can use to get it done right.  Probably be fairly profitable too.

Anyone know why the PC factory moved?  Did they start to build a Super C?  Anyone have the new Volta Power System?

If you want to visit us at the factory, we have moved to

General Discussion / Re: Liquid Springs Suspension Questions

Jim
Thanks for ur response and hope all is well.  LS is complicated compared to the normal rear end.  It does appear to give better ride quality.  After careful consideration I do not think it is something I want to pay for in an older PC due to potential issues that could arise.  In a new PC probably good to have though.  There is a 2019 for sale that has it.  The 2019 also has a 6 inch frame extension which increases the bed length.  That is really what I want.  Our previous 2551 was a great unit.  It had the normal bed sizes.  They were adequate.  But if I was to buy another PC it would have to have longer beds.  Unfortunately, not many PC’s for sale with longer beds.

Happy Trails!

General Discussion / Liquid Springs Suspension Questions
« on: May 21, 2025, 04:32:37 pm »
For those with LS I have a couple questions.

1) Is maintenance a chore?  I see things like inspect and torque the bolts and nuts, check the hydraulic fluid level in the reservoir, inspect the hydraulic lines, fittings, and components for any signs of fluid leaks are some things I found to be done every 6 months.  Anything I missed?
2) For PC that are older, like 5 years, do you think the system requires any major over haul or significant upgrades? Do you feel it could perform as expected for 10 years or more?
3) Have you have any issues with your LS on a PC?
4) Do you find LS easy to use?
5) Do you find LS does as it was expected to do? Is the ride different than without LS?  Worth the cost?
6) Have you used a vendor that specializes in LS and were you satisfied?

Thanks for your time!

New from Cummins.

They are not yet shipping them.  And when they finally become available, the OEMs will likely get them first.

I also saw liquid spring option will be available of new PC F-Series model (Super C??).

I like PC new models.

General Discussion / PC Value Just Went Up - Lazy Daze Closes Shop
« on: June 28, 2022, 09:42:51 am »
Lazy Daze RV is permanently closed per reports on the LD Forum.  LD was a family business that made quality RVs.  So now PC and Coach House are two remaining “small” RV manufactures remaining.  Result is your PC value has now increased for those looking for a quality RV!
