Went to Hershey to look at (competitor's units). I also wanted to see the Phoenix Cruisers, but had no real interest or intention of buying one. We took a close look at the 2350 and began to consider "maybe this is a better choice than what we came here to see." Ended up speaking with Stuart, got very educated very quickly, and ended up buying a 2012 2350 on the Ford chassis. We're eagerly looking forward to being new PC owners. This will be our third motorhome, but first PC. Thank you all for the excellent forum threads and comments that helped us ultimately make our decision.

We've had 2 new Cruisers in two years; guess that tells you what we think of them.

Steve and Heather:  Welocome to the forum and cograts on being a PC owner.  My 2551 is my 6th coach and by far the best....I do alot of work myself and reaclly appreciate how they are put together.  Just last week the screen door latch cracked, I called the factory and three days later the new latch was in my mail box thanks to Carol.  Kermit and Stuart do a great job from the technical side of things.  Best of luck and post any questions and comments you might have.  Thanks, Ron G.

Steve and Heather,

We own a 2007 2350.  They have changed a little in 5 years, the biggest single change being the more recent larger slideout.  Are you getting a slideout?

I don't know what a 2012 has in the way of the seat next to the door.  Ours came with a low back barrel chair.  We since changed it out for a 3rd matching front seat as shown here.  Had we known, we would have ordered it this way to begin with, save money and time.
BTW: We don't have a slideout so our interior looks a bit different with that.

In either of these two positions, we rest our legs on the dinette bench for an ottoman.



A 3rd passenger can travel in full safety and comfort with a nice view out the windshield.


Watching a good movie during inclimate weather can be heavenly.


Off topic here.  In 2007 when we ordered our PC-2350, the factory was offering 20" TVs with an MSRP of $1500.  LCD TVs back then did cost a lot wherever you bought them from.  I ordered our PC without a TV and did my research on the biggest and best TV for the application.  I saved a lot of money and got a larger TV as well.  I then took pictures and emailed them along with all my data to Kermit.  When the next model year PC came out, they offered the exact TV I installed.  I will never know for sure, but I suspect you with 26" Samsung widescreen TVs can thank me for that.

Ron -- Yes, ours has the slide-out. The slide-out holds the power sofa vice a dinette. The chair behind the passengers appears to be standard, and we'll simply get whatever they put in there.

Just ask the factory how much more it would cost for the upgrade.  I hope the cost difference encourages you to consider it.

Your first movie night in the motor home and you will either be glad you got the upgrade, or regret you didn't get the upgrade.  The same for a good book on a rainy day.

I concurr with Dittmer. We had the barrel chair in our 2350 and it was very uncomfortable for watching an elevated TV.
In fact, it was so uncomfortable for me we bought a 2010 2551 and got a zero-gravity chair, which was better.
Then, we got so tired of moving the darn chair around we bought a new 2552 with the Euro recliner.
Ahhhh, much better.

You may also consider investigating that option before your's is finished.
In the scheme of things, the cost difference between the barrel chair, Captain's chair and Euro chair is almost negligible.

On the model page for the 2012 2350, the pictures show the Euro recliner chair. I think this is the new standard chair, replacing the old barrel chair. You might want to call Stuart on Monday and ask him to be sure.

Just another point of view, since we did not need the extra seating we deleted the lounge chair and had the factory install storage cabinets.

Agree with Dittmer too!! Just traded in my 2010 2350 with barrel chair and now have 2552 with eurochair.  Big improvement. You will love the Phoenix!!!
