At the risk of getting off subject, it is interesting to speculate about which will last longer.  The entertainment console?  Or, the chassis?

I had a PC 2100 and decided to get the current PC 2350  .  The 2100 had 32,000 miles when I sold it.  The 2350 now has 114,000 miles.  I kept records on each.  Both delivered the same overall 10.9 mpg average fuel consumption, used no oil between changes and delivered the same hill climbing performance.  Proof enough for me to claim the engine and transmission remain strong

I am old enough to remember when it was considered unusual to have a vehicle remain reliable past the 100,000 mile mark.  I don't know if I'll be the person who is driving the F350 past the 200,000 odometer mark.  But, I am confident it is capable of that.

Stored inside and looking good, I see little reason to be searching for a replacement.

In my case it’s the surround sound that stopped working.  Without it I gave a difficult time hearing the Tv.   Upgrading to a slightly newer Samsung with blu ray cost wise is minimal and I bought a second unit as backup for $15.   Switching them out took all of 15 minutes and works perfectly.  Found the one on eBay in its original box and I see several listed frequently.  Odds are with the miles I have on my rig now the player will outlast the Motorhome.

First unit lasted thru 82,000plus miles.
Hi Joseph,

Would you mind posting the model number of your Samsung head unit with blu-ray capability?  I might make the switch just to get blu-ray capability for the primary front TV.

Ron.  Samsung HT-E4500 Smart 3D Blu Ray DVD 5.1 .   Note, It does not have a connection for an IPod if that’s something you need. The one I picked up for $15 is the exact same model I had with no blu ray.  The only other thing to note is that with my original I could control the player volume with the tv remote. With this unit i need to use the dvd players remote to control the surround sound volume.   It might be possible to get a universal remote but I’m fine with the two.

P.S.  forgot to mention the power cord is roughly 2-2 1/2” shorter.

Taildragger.   Oh I recall those days as well.  In the case of my rig I didn’t not believe for a second it’s a 200 k or even a 150,000 lifetime.  But I need to add I’m dragging a 4,000 lb jeep where ever I go so there’s that to consider.   I figured it’s one and done for us.   Then lately we’re re considering.   If I can get thru this cancer garbage and some other health issues I may reconsider that thought and look at a newer unit. Newer because if I change I want the new engine.
