I put one on the bathroom outlet and it works great, the bathroom got too hot and now we can adjust it down and divert more to the front outlets.

I found them at two RV dealers parts departments in Reno.  One was a direct replacement by the same manufacturer, and the other woudn't work because it was for a smaller cutout and the screws went into the existing cutout not into the wood.  So check around to find the same brand, maybe take the old one with you.  It is an easy job, just remove the three screws and pull it out, the excess flex duct comes out with it so you can pull the duct off and put it onto the new outlet and replace the screws.

Bob

This is what it looks like, just turn the knob and the two flaps behind the grill close like a butterfly valve,  Oh, and it is two screws, not three.

I seem to recall people on another forum complaining the adjustable leuvers rattle and also shut closed on their own, or was it open up on their own.  Something to watch out for.

I put a regulated heater vent also in the bathroom and it does force more heat to the other outlets.  There are two types of these vents.  They both look the same in outward appearance and regulate with a knob.  But I have both because I found the first one worked OK until it got warm and then it closed off all air.  I found to use a wooden clothes pin placed between the louvers to set it and maintain the air flow I wanted.  I bought a butterfly valve one and found it did the same thing, so I use a clothes pin for that one also.  Curious if bobander is having the same experience.

Haven't had a problem with mine yet, it stays where I set it.

I checked the old one I took off and found info marked on it.  It is a Rotaire from dwincorp.com.  I checked their website and the dampered model is 3840R.
