2005 2700
« on: March 16, 2023, 09:55:00 am »
Ya, it's me again.  My question is:   Does a 2005 2700 have a pocket door that shuts off the bedroom?
We're looking again.  Thought we were thru with RVing. NOT!!!!

Thanks, Bob

Good for you BangorBob,  reconsidering !      We love our 2006 2700.    Only wish it had a queen instead of a double bed.    In answer to your question,   it has an "accordian" style door separating the
bedroom.    But then it also has the bathroom door which opens (hinges) fully and catches, to separate the space  beyond the "kitchen", starting at the bathroom sink.      So, kind of redundant.  We seldom use the
accordian door.  Just the bathroom door, for privacy.

Jim,  Thanks for the reply.  We sold our 2008 2350 about 4 months ago and already miss the traveling.  I didn't really like the corner bed.  Not quite sure if we want to go small (roadtrek) or no longer than 27 ft.  There is a 2005 PC 2700 for sale in AZ.  Also not quite sure about the triangular cabinet next to the barrel chair.  Not sure if that DIY or came from the factory.

That 2005 you found looks to be in nice shape.   50,000 miles is what we have on ours also.  Bumper to bumper our's measures 27 ft 3 inches.    Not sure about the triangular  leather-clad  triangular storage
areas either.   The leather color does seem to match the leather in the other leather-clad spots.  Could be a factory customization.  We don't have the barrel chair or the little window behind it, just that wooden triangular
unit behind the passenger seat, on the floor.    It has a wooden "table" that hinges up for the passenger seat to swivel around and use.

I have a 2010 2900D and it has the same floor plan as this, but with a jack knife sofa instead of the booth. It is not "26 foot" as stated in the listing. As the model number implies it is over 29 foot.... Almost 30ft. You can confirm that by the amount of RV hanging past the rear axle.  Also not sure where the 5th and 6th person would sleep. It's only 2 beds.

The small triangular table is factory,,,, but I've never seen the wall above it covered in the pleather fabric.  Maybe that was the fashion back then?  Mine has the same white smooth material as the outer walls on that transition wall.

I do find the cabinet to be a bit useless for storage (I tried to store a set of sheets for the sofa there, but they fell out when I used the table),

I use the pop up table only occasionally. It's low to the floor and only usable by the passenger seat.

I use the triangle table top all of the time. I added a double QC USB power outlet on that wall and leave a wireless phone charger sitting there all the time. It's never fallen off yet. And it's my typical place to put the TV remote.
