2552 retractable screen door
« on: February 21, 2023, 03:40:33 pm »
My name is Mary . I have a 2009 PC 2552 . My dogs bounced off of it last night ( my fault for closing it before they got in rig. Anyway ,the bottom came off the trac. I got it back on, but the bottom won’t move. I had to softly hit it back in to at least get it closed. The top will slide just fine. Any help would be appreciated. The screen is fine.
Thanks.

Not difficult to imagine your problem is the result of a broken track.  If the screen came out of the track, I would exam the area.

The bottom track is easily broken.  Putting direct pressure on the lips of the "C" track, when stepping in and out, is enough to cause problems similar to what you describe.

Search "Screen Door" in the Forum.  There are others describing the same problem.  They offer first hand experience and links to replacement parts.
