Hi stanclem,
2004 was a transition year for every Phoenix Cruiser model, and I see you are on the "improved" side of the equation. The integrated spare tire rear wall unit replaced the previous design that was more susceptible to leaking seam work. The improved rear wall also has storage, integrated LED lighting, and it simply looks more refined.
Here is the previous rear wall.
Here is yours for comparison.
Ron,
Thanks for the history lesson. I had no idea about the previous design. Definitely gald we landed on the "newer" side of that change.
Volkemon and CalCruiser,
Appreciate the nice comments.
Volkemon I appreciate the thorough postings you have on your mods. They have been very helpful.
I "re-furbished" the swoosh decals as some were faded and some were missing entirely. I also decided to continue the swooshes over the battery door and outside shower door on the driver side.
The silver swoosh I taped off and painted and for the navy blue swooshes on the cab doors and sides of the house I used vinyl wrap cut to pattern.
Also, the letters are from the vinyl wrap.
The decal on the rear I had made from my design by Build-a-sign in Texas. I think it was about $20 on sale.
We are looking forward to "getting out of Dodge" very soon. Got to get back "on the road again"!
Safe travels!
