Cruiser 2552 - specific questions
« on: May 19, 2024, 02:27:03 pm »
Can anyone tell me the answers to these questions for a 2022, or newer, model Cruiser 2552 please?

1. What is the OCCC weight rating of this model?

2. What is the class 3 receiver's tow weight rating?

3. What is the class 3 receiver's tongue weight rating?

I didn't write down the OCCC, but it is north of 2000 lb.  The hitch is rated at 5000 / 500 lb.  The chassis is rated at 7500 but the the hitch is not.  One day I may replace the hitch with a heavier one.

If you change to a 7500/750 pound hitch and tow that much with that much tongue weight, you might deform the frame extension that is likely rated for a 5000 pound hitch.  There used to be some old PC factory videos that showed the frame extension welded on the back of the Ford frame.  It does not look impressive.  I assume they were designed so that there was not so much extra weight hanging off the back of the PC of which is already quite heavy.....most especialy for us with back wall spare tire compartments.

The OCCC should be located on the passenger side door frame. It does differ according to the equipment installed ie: liquid springs would reduce the OCCC significantly. Our 2020 2552 with Liquid Springs is 1885lbs. :)

I thought to look at ours while fueling up today.  OCCC is 2520 lb.
