i always thought that Florida had lots of seafood. Not like Port Townsend though. We are surrounded by water and the local fish store has fresh Black Cod, Sockeye salmon, live crab and oysters and clams. I will have to pack carefully. The oysters freeze quite well for fried oysters or oyster stew but they don't taste good raw after they have been frozen. You must have gulf shrimp? Joe Patti's Seafood in Pensacola, FL is our favorite seafood market. We would just about make the 400 mile trip to Pensacola from Nashville just to go to Joe Patti's. It's an enormous market, with loads of seafood. Point at what you want, they'll bag it up, then you can walk it over to another counter where they will steam, season it, ice it down and send you on your way for no add'l charge.
