We've camped at James Island and it is a beautiful park. There are hiker/biker trails, a swimming beach for people and one for dogs, and it's super well maintained with helpful staff. Great place for a rally.

For civil war buffs there are several forts and the Hunley - a submarine. I'm not a big history fan so I tend to pick up on oddities when we tour these sites. Like the men who volunteered for the third try. See, they got volunteers, launched, sunk, died. They hauled her up, took the volunteers out (I'm pretty sure dismemberment was required), asked for more volunteers, got them and launched again... same result. So, WHO stepped forward that third time? Seriously. Well somebody did and they made history when they successfully sank an enemy ship... Then they sank and died. All this and more can be learned when you visit the restoration of the Hunley.

So, lots of history, plantations, old south atmosphere, and our most wonderful Travel Club people. Should be awesome.
John, Holly, and sometimes Chloe.

And for those of us who avoid sinking AND plummeting from the air... Go Army!   :lol

I am looking forward to the next rally. Close enough that Mrs V and I can go!   (cheer)

I understand  that there is a limited number available. When, where and how do we sign up?
Jack is what we call our PC 2351D, and he has taken us from campers to RV'ers and loving it. We're no longer Team Bob. Just Jack the RV!

Looks like we have 40 spots reserved for the 2019 rally. 40 PC's all in one spot is going to be impressive!

I am told registration will open by February, possibly earlier.  Once it opens I will post here with a link for registration.  It will also be posted on Facebook and in the club newsletter.

John Halupka is now webmaster and finally got administrative access to the site. Unfortunately, some of the features were turned off so he has been working with the hosting service to remedy that bit by bit. If you accessed the site in the past but cannot log in now, please send your email to John through this forum using the personal message feature. Click on 2 Frazzled and select personal message. This keeps everyone's email address out of public view. John will reset your account then let you know.

The website was not set up to allow individuals to change their password. John is working to fix that. John also noticed that some people were given a password ending in an exclamation point and some ended with a period. Please try your password both ways.

Note: you should be typing your password into the home page of our club website with the picture up top and our typed info down the page. For some reason it kicks you to the generic WordPress log in screen which will not recognize your password. Use the back button in your browser to get to our screen to sign in. We don't know why it does this. John is working on this and other glitches on the site.

I haven't received any personal messages and John only got two names from alternate sources. I'm looking for feedback. Have those people that were having log in issues been able to get into our site? I heard that we had ten rigs registered last week. That's 25% of our capacity this year so don't put off your registration if you plan to go. I check this site most days as does John Trax, the club's Forum Ambassador. He'll flag John H, webmaster, if I don't respond.
